At Amacate Tortilla Bar, we're bringing Beaumont a true taste of Mexico with our authentic, homemade recipes. Inspired by our own Mexican heritage, we're excited to introduce our town to the flavors that have been in our family for generations. Here, we'r
One word: guacamole. Iâve only heard one good recommendation to this restaurant and we visited tonight based on that one. I was told they had wonderful guacamole and now I can attest that itâs true. They donât load it with lettuce and tomatoesâitâs pure guac! We were told that the margaritas are also made to orderâthatâs another plus. My friend had a street taco and she said it was delicious. Ignore all the negative feedback from others and give this place a try.

We were thrilled to see that there is a Mexican Restaurant in town that actually includes vegetarian offerings on the menu. Yes, it is possible to get some veggie items elsewhere but it's limited due to beans being seasoned with meat etc. So... we were very pleased to find this menu!We had the veggie burritos and asked to substitute beans for the rice. The burritos were delicious, full of mushrooms, squash, onions, peppers etc. Large portion sizes and the beans were wonderful too. Overall we were very happy to be there and plan to get back there again soon!

Good Tex Mex food is served here. The staff are always friendly and fast. Clean restaurant as well. Extremely small restrooms. This place can get very crowded.

Good food and service, but the restaurant needs a facelift. The ceiling tiles are disgusting, dirty, some are about to fall and stained. The air conditioning vents are thick with dust. I really canât eat and see the gross ceiling. This is the Elenaâs on Phelan .

This was our first visit here and it was within the first few days of businesses re-opening after the storm Harvey severely flooding our area. The restaurants were having to make do because the city water was not drinkable and supplies were not readily available yet. We were seated promptly and the staff was extremely friendly. They remained friendly the whole visit despite our witnessing customers complaining about being served on disposable plates and only bottled water and select beverages being available. We ordered the Enchiladas de Queso ($7.75), Burrito de Azada ($7.75) and bottled domestic beer ($2.99). The food was served hot and everything was delicious. We had no complaints at all, except with some of the other customers! Seriously people! We thought the staff was doing an excellent job and plan to return soon. We told our family of our experience and they went and dined the next day.

Open and inviting, fiesta-style atmosphere! Once you enter, you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff. You may make your way to the bar area, be seated in a cozy booth, or find your group waiting to "surprise" you with gifts and laughter! We have o
A grandchild birthday dinner. She picked the place. Service was good, we were a large party and Shelby took care of us. We were accommodated well. Everything about the evening was good I just had a problem with the food. It was subpar for what Casa Del Rio usually produces. Maybe a new cook, maybe a tired cook, maybe quality control has gotten loose ... What we received was more similar to fast food or frozen dinners. We were disappointed in the food but pleased with everything else.

On the way back from Houston we were looking for a mid afternoon lunch stop. I choose mexican because it is hard to mess up, and surprisingly there are not as many options in Beaumont as I would expect. We arrived at 3pm and place was remarkably packed for that time. I ordered a Modelo Especial Draft and she got a Margarita. They are proud of those at $10! The salsa is more of a pico mix which I didn't mind and the pinto bean dip is a nice extra. She got the Veggie Quesadilla, which was huge. Enough for two people. I had the Jalapeno Chicken cilantro meal which was pretty good. $50 for two at lunch with 1 drink seems a little pricey and nothing particularly stood out as excellent.

Tia Juanita's is one of my go to lunch spots. My favorite is the shrimp quesidallas, but everything I have ever had there is good. The wait staff is efficient and friendly. Ask for Bryan, he'll make your meal more enjoyable.

We came to Beaumont on Amtrak and our hotel recommended this restaurant. We were there on a Monday night - it was packed - and we could see why. Excellent food, quick service and they even had live music. The Guacamole was some of the best I ever had.
