Stopped by for early dinner. Immediately welcomed and sat down. Ordered peach tea, good, not to sweet. Got a combination plate. Liked the rice, taco, and beef enchilada. The guacamole was off and chips were too dark. I really liked the salsa. Service was great thru the entire visit.
Although they do have tables, this is a very small place so I usually get mine to go. I have had both the breakfast and lunch burritos and they were wonderful. I do not care for the breakfast taco they only come with egg and a meat, and I want cilantro onions etc more flavor.
Always a great value and excellent food. The Cowboy burrito is my favorite. Just a warning but his hot salsa will hurt you if you are not careful......you have been warned.

We were immediately seated. Our waitress immediately spoke and told us she'd be right with us. She was very quick, attentive and accurate. We weren't given napkins, forks or small plates before our appetizer came out, but once we asked for some, she brought it all to us very quickly. It seemed they may have been a little under staffed for a Saturday night. The steak and broccoli was cooked to perfection! Overall, it was a good visit!Thank you so much for taking the time to send us this feedback. We love hearing about the great service and meal you received at our Alvin Chili's. We will share this feedback with the manager and look forward to your next visit.

Theyâve got both a full menu and a small buffet at this surprisingly good restaurant. If youâre hungry and want to fill up for under $10, try the $9.99 buffet. It was very good. It had everything from beef enchiladas to tamales when I went. I even liked the salad bar. It also comes with any soup on the menu. The al carte menu is even better, although a bit more expensive. They also have ice cold Mexican beer. Great place to bring the kids too!

We tried this place on the recommendation of hotel staff who said it was the best in Alvin. I can't comment on others but this place was only average as far as food was concerned. The service was good and the place was clean. I had the chili rellenos which was only average; the beans were good and the salsas were good if a little spicy for my wife. The ceviche my wife had was about average as was the chicken enchilada.

Every time I have gone I have been very pleased. Anyone I take is pkeased also. Tastes good, good prices, quickly served. Same waitress always pleasant. It is a hole in the wall and not anything to look at but I go to eat good food. Only open breakfast and lunch

I'm from Alvin, and while I don't live here anymore, I travel back annually and I thought I'd drop some notes for people coming through who don't know Alvin so well. There's a large Latino population and a ton of Mexican places of varying types, and local opinion is often split based on personal tastes or where someone's eaten for their whole lives, heh.If you're passing through and you want what may be the best Tex-Mex in Alvin, Las Flores is your spot. It's definitely on the Tex side, but only in the sense that there's a ton of grilled beef, cheese and guacamole on the menu. The underlying Mexican flavors aren't watered down at all and you can order around the beef and cheese if you prefer (though, go for it!).It's hard to name any particular standout dishes, because everything is good, starting with the salsa, which is tomato-ey and fresh, but has a good solid kick. Probably too spicy for the endless out-of-state transplants, but native Texans shouldn't have any issues.I tend to order the simple things and the comfort foods, so I can recommend the tacos al carbon and the nachos and queso if you're looking for some Tex-Mex basics, as well as the cheese enchiladas. They're all done perfectly. Tamales are solid as is the meaty sauce served with them. There's really not a ton to write. If you're looking for bold culinary choices to brag to your friends about, this isn't the place, but if you're looking for excellent, authentic Tex-Mex like you grew up on or like you've heard about coming from elsewhere, this is it. Can't recommend it enough for people who love authentic Tex-Mex. Service is friendly, portions are perfect, the flavors are classic across the board and it's centrally located in bustling downtown Alvin!Seriously, if you're looking for classic, really well done Tex-Mex, give it a shot. That's what it is, and it's very, very good at being exactly that.

We go here at least once a year (when we go to Alvin for the Christmas Train). I would probably go more often if we lived closer. Last night I got the street tacos. They were very good. My only complaint is, the menu does not state there is cabbage on the tacos. It says lettuce so I asked them to leave off the lettuce. I would have asked to leave off the cabbage had I know. But they were still good and I was able to take off most of the cabbage. The food is always excellent and the service nice and quick. I really like their green sauce and the warm red sauce with chips. We will definitely be back. This is my favorite Tex Mex place in the Houston area.
