This is a good place to go in College Station for the family. They have a sandbox inside so kids can play while waiting on food. We had the burgers, baked potatoes, wings and crawfish. All was good! Staff was very friendly too.

Opening when I was a student way back when, the Dixie Chicken now boasts about being the oldest bar on Northgate. The Chicken holds special memories and as I reentered after many years of being away, it was most nostalgic, timeless. Donât get me wrong, the place is a dive. â¦and that is what makes it so special. The wooden carved up tables for 42 players, all the neon beer signs, the deer head trophies/ Once the smells get added in, it certainly makes it the best bar in town and maybe even the State of Texas. Returning to College Station for the first time in many years, my family members all required a visit to the âChickenâ so we could get one of their signature hamburgers and fries. The beer list has all the mass produced standards on draft â not many craft beers, but I guess that must be what sells these days to poor college students. Anyway, I just saw the Dixie Chicken celebrated their 45th birthday, so best wishes for many more. May the Chicken remain timeless and forever interesting.

Our menu feels familiar without being common, offering delicious flavors and variety at a great value. We focus on doing things consistently and exceptionally well. We make our own tender mozzarella and hand cut our steaks and fish. Our pizza is hand-toss
My family had lunch here - friendly, courteous staff; healthy, interesting menu.We had eaten here a couple of times over the years and had been pleasantly surprised. This time - flavorless dressing with the tuna/avocado salad, grilled lamb chops/asparagus - emphasis on the char. A slightly soggy Margherita pizza, a bland hummus appetizer I would probably not go back.David, we are so sorry to hear about your negative experience with us. We pride ourselves on quality eats and service, so we are sad to hear that only provided half of that this time around. Our College Station team would love to have you out for a meal on the house. Please feel free to contact me at your soonest convenience so that I can arrange this for you. We hope you will give us another chance and look forward to talking more soon! - Christina Boudreaux, Marketing Manager, [email protected]

A great place to stop and have a glass of wine or beer with friends for the over 50 crowd. The space is large enough you don't feel cramped and the music is there but not so in your face you can't visit. Thanks for both!

Opened in 2009 I believe, neighborhood bar and grill. Oysters, cajun crawdads, e'touffee, shrimp, blackened fish tacos and their own signature Shipwreck sauce. Great atmosphere and owners who are on site and friendly. We love this place and would love to
This place serves up good seafood. The Shrimp basket and Fried Oyster basket were the highlights of our lunch, but the Gumbo stood out. Place was clean, restrooms too. Our server was the best part of our experience; she was always smiling and always had everything to us in a timely manner. Good solid seafood. Recommend.

Barbeque, Bourbon and Beer. Downtown Bryan, next the the Queen Theater.
This is authentic Texas BBQ in an authentic restored downtown. They make just what they think they need each day, so they may run out occasionally of something- but whatever they have is great.

We typically visit the Longhorn Tavern Steak House at least once a month. The service is friendly and attentive and the food is good. This downtown restaurant is located a block from the Brazos County Courthouse and it is popular with courthouse employees, downtown merchants, and "old Bryan." I do not recall ever entering this popular restaurant where I did not see someone I knew.

Found this place while driving around downtown Bryan one evening and decided to stop in. Quick service, friendly people, fair pricing. Ordered a Yard Bird ($7.75) with side of sweet potato fries ($2.85) and unsweet iced tea ($2.35). Food was served up within no time at all. Good quality ingredients and very enjoyable burger. Fries were decent while tea was topped off twice.Total tab before tip was $14.02. Worth checking out if you're looking for something out of the ordinary. Lots of televisions with football games showing which made it easy to catch up on all the college games that evening too.

I joined some friends for lunch at th Chicken Oil Company, a famed Bryan beerjoint that serves excellent hamburgers. On this most recent visit I had a cheeseburger, which was prepared as ordered and was delicious. This establishment has become a Brazos County landmark, and one well worth visiting.
