For years people have mentioned how good this place is to me. I've always wanted to try it but for some reason just never did. The place has been around forever. One Friday while passing by at lunch time I finally turned in and gave it a try. Wow! I've waisted a lot of time & money on lesser oriental food. It was fantastic! I had the orange chicken and... it... was... fantastic. The food was made to order, there was a generous amount, and the price was good. In my opinion, the best oriental in the area. Should have gone here "long time"... ago.

Pie Wei Spicy has been a dish my wife and I have enjoyed for years, driving the 50 miles from Louisiana to the closest Pei Wei to us.But when I visited yesterday I discovered they had renamed our old favorite, substituting Bulgogi (some spell it Bulgoki.) as their new Spicy. It is definitely spicier than the original dish. But, the new version is also closer to the Bulgogi that I have enjoyed made by Korean women at a small cafe in Leesville, LA not far from the gates of Ft. Polk.I will have to enjoy this again, but may try the Chicken the next time, although the Beef was excellent, and what I was familiar with having had it in Leesville for more than three decades.Another favorite is their Lettuce Wraps (tradition for me). I have never found anywhere else that comes close to matching their flavor.Even though Pei Wei is a division of P.F. Changâs, after one visit, we went back to our Pei Wei.Unless youn walk into a long line at the register, this crew will always deliver your meal in short order. sometimes the entree arrives before you have finished your appetizer. My one regret is that they retired the stir fried Green Beans after only a few months.Plenty of variety as they are an Asian venue, not just Chinese, with a menu crafter with Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese selections.

I went to this Tokyo Restaurant because of the close location to my hotel while in Beaumont on business. Was not impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the waitstaff was fair. The food was good. I had the Hibachi scallops and a Philadelphia Roll with a large hot Sake. Will probably go to one of the other locations next visit.

We had two of the appetizers, #1 and #4. The #1 was good, the #4, just Ok, Had the beef brisket Pho, very very good, could have used more bean sprouts and more jalepeno, but there was lots and lots of briskett, more than I have ever had with Pho. Overall I enjoyed the place, the people there were very friendly and helpful. The price was relatively inexpensive for what I have had at other Veitenamese places for the same thing.

Ordered two sushis and shared the Filet and chicken tepanyaki dinner. All was tasty and served in a timely manner. The restaurant was clean and pleasant smelling, unlike TOKYO on Dowlen. The restaurant does need to correct their air system. The floors in restrooms were wet with condensation....a lawsuit waiting to happen!!! Will go back again

We stopped in Beaumont en route to Savannah and were amazed to find a great vegetarian Indian restaurant. While they do serve meat, the vegetarian options were extensive. I love masala dosa and theirs was excellent. Also had samosas and naan. One of our servers didn't seem to understand English but quickly got someone else to help us. Don't let the location in a strip mall discourage you. Would have liked to go for the lunch buffet.

I really enjoy eating here for lunch. They have a large lunch menu at great prices. Every entree comes with white or fried rice, hot and sour, wonton or egg drop soup and egg rolls. my favorite is their General Tso's chicken.

First no sushi here. Second if you are looking for General Tso's chicken or beef not on the menu. Its Vietnamese not Chinese and not buffet. Ice tea selection from standard sweet tea to strawberry infused with fresh strawberries and even a mango tea. A lot of selections - friends we were with suggested the Shaken Beef and the Drunken Chicken. Served quickly and hot. The dishes had different rice base. Since we are limited on eating Vietnamese locally its hard to compare and based on taste it was pretty good. Well flavored and spiced gently - some dishes we had elsewhere are heavy on black pepper and spiced heat. This was gentle to the palate.Warning Pho (Soup) dishes are huge. I saw on the dessert menu Beignets. My biggest complaint in the land of Cajun / French eating is a lack of beignets. Ran out of gut space to try them. Also they have a lunch time and a dinner time so check before you go over around 3 in the afternoon they may be closed. We greatly appreciate your support and feedback!

What can you say? Great food and great prices. Menu is vast, prices are reasonable, and everything sampled was delicious. Grilled catfish was perfectly blackened and hugely flavorful, fried rice is decent, and the french fries were delicious. Restaurant was clean the food was ready within five minutes of ordering. It's not a place that I can write pages on, but it's a great place for a good, affordable bite.

Having spent several years in Thailand, I have a jaundiced eye about Thai restaurants in the US. I've found a few authentic, very good ones, but most are disappointing. I rather like Chaba Thai. It looks modest on the outside though more spacious on the inside (see Exterior and Interior photos). "Modest" is relative; compared to some of my favourite Thai restaurants in Kalasin, Ao Nang, and even Bangkok, this place would be considered downright palatial. I dined on two items that I consider litmus tests for Thai cuisine: a soup (Tom Yum Goong) and a Som Tum. (The latter is a better test of Thai authenticity in US restaurants.) The Tom Yum Goong was very rich, very flavourful, and relatively mild on the heat scale; I'd rate it quite good even if served in Thailand. The Som Tum was curious in that they don't use that name here. They call it "Papaya Salad Deluxe" without even a tip o' the hat to its Thai name. Both dishes were marked with a red pepper symbol to indicate "hot and spicy." The soup was fragrant and flavourful, but not particularly hot-pepper-hot. The som tum was spicier, and deserved a one-pepper warning. (see Som Tum and Tom Yum Goong photos). Some restaurants in Thailand with English-language menus will rate dishes with from one to five pepper symbols. Som Tom, particularly the classic one from Isaan (the northeast, bordering Laos) will often have, and earn, five peppers. Chaba;s was a perfectly fine one-pepper-symbol papaya salad, suitable for Westerner tastes. I like mine considerably spicier, but most Westerners can't handle that much heat, so they give westerners a "falang" som tum ("Falang" is a Thai variant on "Farang" the Islamic word for Franks (Crusaders, hence any westerners). The papaya salad here is about as spicy as most Westerners prefer, though both Cajuns and Texans can handle more heat than, say, Minnesotans or New Hampshiremen. Bottom line: I would rate it 5-stars for a Thai restaurant in America. Beaumont is lucky to have it. I definitely would go back my next time in town.
