Chick-fil-a is doing a whole lot of things right these days in the world of fast food. That is very evident when you try to go to one...their parking lot traffic can be a bit of gridlock during peak hours! My suggestion their corporate office is to make the parking lot and restaurants bigger to handle the demand for good food that is fast. In Nacogdoches, a very nice police officer was handling the flow of traffic associated with the drive thru line and it was helpful! Thank you to our officers in blue that keep us safe. I made two visits in one day to this location. Both times I ordered with the "ONE app" that makes ordering and picking up quick and easy! Food was hot, ready, and already paid for when I entered the front doors, no waiting in any line! And I get free "treats" for using my ONE app! This trip I received a free large iced tea. Thank you Chick-fil-a for being the leader in service and food!

Just left from brunch. Hostess was probably the most frumpy, unprofessional person Iâve dealt with. It was like they were helping out and allowing a homeless person to work for the day. The only thing is, if she were actually homeless I would assume she would be a little more enthusiastic about having a job. There are plenty of people in this town that are looking for work. Screen your applicants a little better.

The Republic Steakhouse is really the only truly elegant restaurant in deep East Texas. Gorgeously and comfortably decorated inside. Staff, though young, have been well-trained and do a respectable job. Steak, ribeye, filet entrees are quite well-prepared. (Sea bass and salmon were reportedly quite good, too.) Every side we tried - at least five - was excellent. Desserts were very good and wine selection respectable, all things considered. Frankly, for the best place in the greater deep East Texas region for fine dining, this is it. But since it is only open Thursday through Saturday, reservations are a must, and you need to call one month ahead (and not a day later)!

Shopping in Nacogdoches diwntompwn, my mom and I were ready for lunch, but wanted a quick bite. Found the delicious answer at the Olde Town General Store. Love the huge menu and sweets. We both went for salads. Mom chose Asian and I ordered southwest. We enjoyrdc the meal, and recharging the batteries.

This is what i call âHwy bbqâ. It is ok if you are starving and want an easy off easy back on hwy stop. Otherwise; dont stop here for good texas bbq. The chopped beef poboy was so salty i could barely choke it down with a sweet tea. The potato salad was straight out of a tub from sams club. The beans were nothing more than canned pork and beans with bbq sauce mixed in. At least use bushs baked beans; they taste more authentic. Very disappointing stop for good texas bbq.

Food was okay but nothing to write home about. Service was very poor. Not that busy but waitress did not get refills of drinks when asked & was slow at everything else. Maybe because it is nothing but college kids working there but service is lacking.

Ordered the food recommended to us - bacon hamburgers with fries. Order at the counter and receive food at the counter. Wonderful hamburger and fries. Very clean place - two people were constantly cleaning. Regret not having enough room to eat a big piece of Coconut Cream pie in the counter by our table.

Took a day trip to visit downtown Nacogdoches and decided to try this place. We are so glad we did. Our waitress was great, pleasant and attentive. We got the classic cheeseburgers and they were absolutely delicious. The meat is seasoned very well and it is served on a sweet sourdough bun. Our 4 year old is a very picky eater and even she finished off her cheeseburger. The fries and onion rings are great as well. We will be back.

Nested in the middle of the Piney Woods of East Texas, this Clear Springs location occupies what once was the first refrigerated warehouse West of the Mississippi River. Located next to a busy rail yard, this warehouse was ideal for getting food and suppl
Went one Saturday evening while visiting the area. This is a very large restaurant and the place was packed. We did not have to wait long for a table and was waited on quickly. We started with fried mushrooms, which were very good. I ordered the blackened catfish with shrimp. Very good. My husband got the jalapeño glazed salmon which he also liked. Service was very good and prices reasonable. Would go back
