Had their chicken fried steak special and it was delicious. Very well prepared and was very good. Two biscuits came with it and they were great, but couldn't finish the second one. The waitress didn't check on us at all after bringing out our food. Other than that it was great

Whenever we just want to grab a quick sandwich that is somewhat healthy this is our go to. All of the options are very good. I normally get the managers special which is half a sandwich and a salad.

This bbq place had an Asian lady taking orders who barely spoke English. Then they had religious pictures hung in the bathroom. The pulled pork was a little dry, the potato salad was mushy and tasted vinegary. The place was small but clean and the tables looked new. The floor was slippery.

The employee's of McAlister's always offer fast, friendly and accurate service. The food is consistently good. And if you order something more than one time, you can rest assured that when you order it the second time, it will be the same thing you enjoyed the first time. Love their Autumn Squash Soup.

We wanted something different for breakfast in Killeen and found The Waffle Den to be excellent. I've never seen such a wide variety of waffle flavors anywhere! We went for an original waffle and a couple of chicken wings. Both were excellent and served quick by very friendly folks. Five stars for the food and staff, a couple less for the limited drink selection and loud rap playing the whole time.

We make wings for people who know the difference: The difference between fresh and frozen; between hand crafted sauce recipes and something squeezed through an industrial tube; between layering on flavor instead of trying to cover it up. We use fresh brea
I love Pluckers in Killeen; probably more than most. We normally go about 3 times out of the month to this location and I'm never disappointed. Kim waited on us today and she was such a sweetheart and very accommodating. The food was piping hot and delicious as usual. I gladly paid $20 a while back for the awards program because each time that I go in we get a free appetizer. This month is was the fried Oreos which are ooey gooey, and amazingly good. If u want good food, great customer service, and a rewards program that benefits everyone at your table Pluckers is where it's at!

I'm not going to lie. We were hooked the first time we were there. I have yet to meet a staff anywhere that is more personable and eager to make sure that you were completely satisfied. Beer selection is lacking (just kidding) and ch tre food is always great.

Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q serves Real Texas Bar-B-Q seven days a week. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and group meals.
There seems to be a cult following for Rudyâs. Being from out-of-town, I chose to give it a try. We ended up going twice. So warning.. everything is ala crate and you need to serve yourself. There are also signs that remind you that your mom is not there and you should pick up after yourself! (No, really). I wanted to tell that that I did not already pay my mom for lunch, but, well... I asked for 1/2 pound of brisket and got (and charged for) 3/4 of a pound. You want potato salad. Get it yourself (and pay $2.49 for a single serving). You want simmering baked beans. Tough luck, get it out of the fridge yourself. I chose banana pudding and it was simply awful. The meat was fine but you have to sauce it yourself. Want some Texas toast?? Warm rolls? Nope! You get a couple slices of cold Wonder bread. Almost $25 for a self-serve lunch. I think I will pass next time.

Shilo Restaurant Killeen is a full service restaurant, Bar and Killeen's only Cigar Bar, serving a variety of Texas favorites along with a wide-ranging selection of classic American dishes your whole family will enjoy. Kids Menu and Catering available.
The front of the house was great-Stacy, Donella,Dominique! They were attentive, polite and wanted you there. Too bad I can't say the same for the kitchen--do you ever clean your fryer? The food was horrible, even tried different dishes but the results were the same-yuk! Stayed overnight at the hotel and tried breakfast the next morning--do you even know what an over easy egg is? Guess not because after 30 minutes of waiting you still could not get it right and everything else on the plate was cold. As a local I won't be eating here anytime soon
