Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.
We met friends here for dinner and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The restaurant feels like you're stepping into a bit of old New Orleans and has a charming courtyard, fountains, and an oasis of beautiful tropical plants. Even though there was a slight wait to be seated, the service was friendly, and they have a nice bar area. My husband and I shared the Mediterranean seafood salad that consisted of a large Greek salad topped with fresh shrimp, lump crabmeat, and a tasty lemon vinaigrette and the Chargrilled Shrimp Brochette that had perfectly cooked shrimp stuffed with a sliver of jalapeno to give it a little kick, all wrapped in crisp bacon. They let us substitute asparagus for the dirty rice for a slight upcharge, and they served everything with a large loaf of delicious French bread. I had a glass of their sangria, and it was perfect on a hot summer day. We've eaten at several different locations around the city, and the food is always good and reliable. Portions were large enough that we had some to take home with us. If you're looking for good seafood and a fun night out in a nice atmosphere, this place is hard to beat.

Came for the tasty steaks and it was well worth it. Mayra H. was our server and I want to first tell you she was extremely observant. We ordered drinks first and while looking over the menu she brought out hot & fresh baked bread with real butter. It was awesome. We ordered dinner which was the Parmesan encrusted steak. I can highly recommend spending the extra buck on this topping, it makes the steak great! I had a 6 oz hubby had the 8 oz with baked potatoes and salad. Now, back to the server, Mayra. We like bleu cheese dressing and we both ordered it. As she was serving the salads after the appetizers, she looked at my salad and said, wait a minute that looks like ranch dressing on yours, please taste the dressing and let me know. Wow, super observant and she knows her dressings. She promptly brought out a new salad for me with the correct dressing. She was attentive but not intrusive. Refilled drinks and cleared off extra dishes so we could have more room on the table without being asked. Great food, great drinks and Mayra was amazing. We will keep coming back here its great.

Stopped in on the way to North Padre Island. This place is absolutely incredible! Everything about this place is HUGE!!! The parking lot, plenty of gas/diesel pumps, the inside and the restrooms...omg!!! Their breakfast wraps are great! Light, fluffy, meaty and very filling. Highly recommend stopping in!

Don't pass this place up if you want some good Texas style BBQ! I had the 2 meat plate and enjoyed their brisket and turkey both were moist and savory with a hint of BBQ sweetness.
After looking in the case where the meats and cheeses are displayed I should have known (see photo). Having been to Subway previously I went against my intuition and ordered a 6" ham and turkey on multigrain. Watching the sandwich being made with two very small slices of ham and two very small slices of turkey and two very small slices of cheese I realized that this will be an overpriced unappealing tasteless lunch. The next step was to dress it up with veggies and such. The person handling the sandwich now was so rushed and sloppy that I had them finish the sandwich and warp it so that I could pay and leave. The bottom line - the whole experience made me realize that this operation offers no value in a meal. By the way, I gave the sandwich away, ate somewhere else and will never return to Subway...
TJ's has good food. The french toast is unique. It is made with cinnamon on the outside and is a little crispy. I go there for that! We have enjoyed burgers and chicken fried steak, as well. However, we always measure if we want to go with the fact that our clothes will smell like cigarette smoke when we leave. We would eat there more often, but for that.

I was driven here by my colleague for lunch. It's a nice place for lunch in an industrial suburb of Channelview outside Houston. It's a lovely no frills place for a decent lunch during work hours and not at all expensive. The restaurant also has a good variety of choices to cater to everyone. But remember that this is a Mexican food joint.

I love the taste of their BBQ, especially their chopped beef. Servers are always very friendly and location is convenient. However, EVERY time I ate there, I was sick for at least a day afterward. Sadly, others have told me the same thing. I had to give it up :(

For over 25 years, Monument Inn has been your destination to share family traditions and special occasions with great food and a great atmosphere! Specializing in fresh Gulf Coast seafood, we've become one of Houston's most popular restaurants. In fact, w
I drove all the way from Pearland for a party. I ordered baked potato soup, salad and calamari appetizer. I did not like the soup. It was yellow, had too many tiny diced potatoes and was tasteless. Very little cheese, sour cream or bacon. The calamari was spicy, salty, very tough, stringy and tasted very seafood. It was overcooked, not fresh & had very little meat. The salad was ok, nothing special. It had one tiny tomato, 2 thin slices of cucumber & iceberg lettuce. My cinnamon roll (their specialty) was ok, but mine did not have the gooey cinnamon in the middle like the others did. Disappointing. Other people in my party liked their meals. I have been here 2 times before and liked what I ordered before. Not sure what the problem was today. They always make a large party that has reservations wait until everyone is there before being seated. Ridiculous!Very sorry that your recent meal was not up to our usual standards. We hope you won't let one off-day ruin other great meals you've shared with us. This won't happen again and we know we can get you another delicious meal in the future. Best,Loreny, Manager
