Tetovo (Macedonian: Тетово, [ˈtɛtɔvɔ] ( listen); Albanian: Tetovë/Tetova; Turkish: Kalkandelen) is a city in the northwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia, built on the foothills of Šar Mountain and divided by the Pena River. The municipality of Tetovo covers an area of 1,080 km (417 sq mi) at 468 meters (1,535 ft) above sea level, with a population of 52,915. The city of Tetovo is the seat of Tetovo Municipality.

Ate a late afternoon lunch here with my husband in June 2013. This restaurant is located outside of Tetovo, up on the side of the mountain, but it is worth the drive. The setting is beautiful and the food is delicious. The restaurant and outdoor Seating overlook the restaurant grounds, where there are peacocks, chickens, hens, and quail roaming around, fish ponds, and cute landscaping. Guests are free to roam around and take in the scenery and take pictures. While we were there they were working on building Seating inside the wooded area elevated to one side of the restaurant. It looked like it was going to turn out amazing, and later, in July, my husband's aunt and uncle ate there and told us the Seating in the woods and been completed and it was lovely. If you go on a hot summer day, the temperature will probably be about 15F cooler here than in Tetovo.
Menu was similar to the other restaurants in Tetovo, and the food was very good. We ordered shopska salad, margherita pizza, and another pizza, but my husband can't remember what kind. They also served fresh complimentary bread that was seasoned and was awesome. Service was good. They had an English menu, in addition to the Albanian menu, so that was nice. The water is served from jugs that are filled directly from mountain streams next to the restaurants.
I loved everything about this restaurant and cannot wait to go back when we return to Macedonia in a few years.

You will find the best salads and pasta in town. A very relaxing place with wonderful service and food. Sometimes the waiters are overpolite which makes me uncomfortable sometimes.

Fabulous accommodation with an amazing view and great hospitality. Heavenly food which combines traditional foods re-invented into modern dishes that you wouldn't want to miss. Amazing room decoration done with passion and an absolutely beautiful breakfast. Don't miss the morning view from the window!

This restaurant is a bit difficult to find but it is worthwhile to do so.
I had the best Greek salad of my life here with wonderful ingredients. I also enjoyed my main dish but it was a little too salty and that is why I am not giving five stars. The service was very good and prices fair for the quality.

Had great time in Bakal yesterday, excellent service by the staff, unique dishes (such as the SMRCHKA mushrooms which You rarely find in restaurants), fresh and delicious food and nice wine selection. You can easily notice the owners put lots of money and efforts to create this beautiful oasis in the middle of an average village outside Tetovo. Re the prices, Bakal is far from cheap (for Macedonian standards), but is definitely worth to the last cent.

The restaurant offers various food with an excellent and polite service in a cosy atmosphere (fireplace, solid music etc).
Cheese plate and meat starters were delicious also the salad was amazing, fish and desserts were good.
Restrooms are clean, separate place is allocated for children.
Free WiFi.

In Sundays the restaurant is closed, the choice of the food is limited to meat dishes however the portions are quite large. I suggest you balance it with a salad and a meat plate and share it with among two. The waiters are very polite and friendly.
