Hotel Schylge (4-stars) is in the lively harbour of the village West-Terschelling and has a wonderful view over the Wadden sea. The hotel views are dramatically influenced by the continuous movement of the sea and tidal changes. Hotel Schylge offers luxury and comfort. Restaurant 'Op West', one of the best on the island is led by star decorated chef Ton van Scheppingen. Within a short walk along the harbour you will find yourself in the charming village of West. Walking and cycle paths to the beach, woods and sea begin from both the front and back of the hotel. In the last few years Hotel Schylge has been largely renovated. The rooms have a luxurious designer feel but at the same time still manage to capture the unmistakable island feel.

Reviewed By liselottew688We received a nice upgrade to a room with a view of the harbour. Very friendly staff at breakfast and dinner! Last year we also visited the hotel during corona and we were really happy that all facilities are open now.

Reviewed By Paul DThe rooms are clean, all the people of the hotel, restaurant are very friendly, It is possible to take half pension. The restaurant is new, but very goed. Hiring bikes, ebikes is an option, also massage etc. You can reach the hotel by bus. Is is about 15 minutes from the harbour

However a bit pricey as wellness is closed, and dinner inflexible only served at 6.30pm, to your room....and not of a good standard. Breakfast is good, and plentiful and lots of parking.

We had booked for a weekend in October to celebrate our 15 years anniversary (which was actually in May but we postponed due to the pandemic). Unfortunately our teenage son got tested positive so we had to cancel. We booked again for April. In our apartment we were welcomed by a personal note to congratulate us. That was so friendly!!! Much appreciated. The appartment was really spacious and beautiful. Fully equipped. We could have ordered some food to eat in the appartment. However we had bought some food in the supermarket. We did order breakfast. We've got a list to fill in. At the requested time, breakfast was brought. It was nice. However, we did not exactly get what we've ordered. And the next day, we got old bread.... At the last day we checked out and could leave our luggage at the hotel. The guy from the reception adviced us to go to the bunker museum. Which was closed due to the pandemic (which he also told) but we could walk around the bunkers. It was really interesting. Altogether we had a wonderfull time at Boschrijk!

Great location, excellent breakfast
Reviewed By Christophe CThis was our second stay at Nap, and for me this is an excellent choice for a few days or a week on the island. The rooms are very clean, and the cleaning staff manages to clean up during your breakfast so you're never disturbed. Our room was recently renovated with a nice bathroom (a little more light would have made it even better) and comfortable fittings, and ample space to organise your clothes etc.. A mini-bar and coffee machine would have been a plus, though. Wifi was fast (except for one evening) and Netflix was possible. Really found the breakfast buffet excellent, perfect selection to suit most diets and tastes, and good quality of products (my girlfriend would have like more local products though). Location is excellent, at the foot of Brandaris, meaning a 5 minute walk for the ferry boat. Will definitely come back.

Great place to stay.
Reviewed By texas5242The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are nice. Breakfast is served, it has a bar, but no restaurant. Terschelling has no luxury hotels in the city, but this hotel is well-located for both the ferry and city center activities. The city is interesting and historic, and the countryside is delightful. The island is small and can be traversed by bicycle, by hiking, or by hiring a taxi. Most roads and trails are fairly flat, and there are difficult trails. The village is missing the mark by not having guided island tours. We hired a taxi and told the driver to show us the island and provide commentary. He did quite well but was clearly not accustomed to doing so.

The ferry to the mainland docks within walking distance of the hostel, at the village of West-Terschelling. This seaport village is famous for its pretty commandeurswoningen (‘captain’s homes’), Lutine cannons and the Brandaris lighthouse. Children can have hours of fun on the equipment in the outdoor playground.

Reviewed By filforyouPerfect location, reach breakfast, clean rooms, nice customers, reasonable price, luggage storage. The staff is helpful. Even if there was a lot of people including children, the atmosphere was always relaxing and peaceful.

Hotel Buren is gevestigd in een karakteristiek pand uit 1843 waar de voormalige Zeevaartschool op Terschelling gevestigd was. Tot 1919 fungeerde het als schoolgebouw. In de loop der jaren is het fraai gerenoveerd en tegenwoordig een volwaardig 3 sterren hotel centraal gelegen in het dorp West. De kamers zijn fris en hebben ieder een eigen look en feel zodat ons hotel een geliefde plek is op het eiland voor iedere gast. U loopt binnen 5 minuten vanaf de haven (aankomst veerboot) naar het hotel. Vanuit ons hotel loopt u zo het bos en de duinen in, of bezoekt u de fijne restaurants, winkels en cafe’s van West-Terschelling. Persoonlijke service, goede bedden en een heerlijk ontbijt met verse jus, vers bereide eitjes en vele andere lekkernijen zijn ons handelsmerk. We bieden 16 comfortabele kamers waarvan enkele met een eigen terras.
