I had not been here in quite some time. Recently, I took a friend. We had the incredible Guacamole Mexicana and each of us tried different nachos. They were absolutely delicious and the service was excellent! I don't know why people would go elsewhere, because other Mexican restaurants do not have these delicious options.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is appealing, the service is top notch and the food is delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and was always topping off the drinks. Everyone ordered a different entree and everyone was very happy with their choice. The mango salsa on the taco salad made the dish!

One of the benefits that comes from traveling off the beaten path is that every now and then we come across a local hidden gem.Having cut my âMexican Food Teethâ in the suburbs of "The City Of Angels" particularly East LA, I have a high standard for authentic âSouth Of The Borderâ food.Don Juan tacos definitely meets this threshold.Strolling the grocery shop area of Don Juan as I am waiting for my order to be prepared, I spot the icing on the cake of our gem discovery. Sitting on the counter next to the cash register is a container filled with Mexican deserts. My favorite a strawberry jelly roll topped with white flakes of coconut winks at me. I just do not have the heart to leave it sitting trapped in that plastic prison, I have to set it free.As it turns out my order which had three tacos is just not enough. Another carnitas one on corn tortillas that is served sprinkled with onions and cilantro is a must.A squeeze of lime and a drizzle of salsa verde and I am almost certain that I am back in East LA.

My friends and I have all been in the food business so we often discuss hospitality and how it's on the decline. Such was the conversation after our last MB experience. It pains us, actually. When you love a place and then the service experience makes you swear off ever visiting again, it's so frustrating. That's the case here so be warned that you won't get the warm greetings, smiles or happy to have you here attitudes from people who obviously just want to make ends meet. The food is hearty and tasty if you know how to order and just be watchful of checking out where you have to push tip or no tip when checking out. It's awkward to be asked to tip someone who just prepared your food and hands it to you. I thought tips were for wait service? I'm glad Mojo exists because you can count on decent food, fast. It's the perfect place to go if you are hungry and anti-social.

This is not a sombreros-on-the-wall, Tex-Mex, combo-plate kind of restaurant. This is a more modern take on Mexican food, where the decor is clean and spare and you don't get a free bucket-o-chips and vat-o-salsa. While you certainly can get such as a starter -- and it's very good, as is the guacamole -- there are a number of other starter options that are equally worth your time & money. Don't worry, familiar favorites are all here, but the food is fresh and light, with more interesting dishes interspersed with the enchiladas and tamales. We did experience a few lapses in service -- my friend got a different cocktail than the one she ordered, and we had to remind the waiter twice about our chips and guac; we finally got them after some of our other items. He may have been new; he was friendly and cheerful, but seemed a bit tentative. The atmosphere is a little on the loud side, inevitable with all of the hard surfaces.

while driving through, we stopped in at East Ridge. We tried this place and I would recommend you steer clear of it. The chips and salsa were the only thing we liked. My wife and I both had a burrito, taco and enchilada. The meat tasted odd in all of them. What made me gag was the texture of the burrito shell. I have made burrito's plenty of times and the shells are decent the first time, however when reheating, the shell takes on a soggy texture and even tends to be a bit slimy. This shell was exactly that, leading me to believe these are not made fresh, they are either assembled at the start of the day, the night before or frozen and thawed. All I could do was to scrape out the meat and eat it on the chips. I probably won't ever stay overnight in East ridge again, but if I do, I certainly won't visit this place again.

A friend recommended staying at the first Tennessee exit off I-75 coming north from Atlanta, where there would be his favorite restaurant within the proverbial stone's throw. We asked the lovely lady at the hotel where she would go."If you like Mexican food, you should go another three miles west on Ringgold Road to Amigo Mexican Restaurant."So we did, and were we ever glad! The place was humming, but we were escorted immediately to a table, where the chips and a nice variety of salsa, along with our drink, was forthcoming quickly. As for the meal, my partner ordered from the taco section, and my choice was found among the enchiladas. They were scarcely 5 minutes in coming, and the way each looked was even surpassed by they way each tasted! The professionalism of our waitress was surpassed only by the quality of the food, and once back at the hotel we were able to congratulate our hostess for her suggestion!Thank you for listening to that lovely lady at the hotel. We're glad you enjoyed it and hope you will return soon.
