I've been a couple of times previously but had not tried the scotch. Our bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. I tried the Down & Dirty flight and found that I do like some scotches, especially the Lagavulin 16 year old scotch. I also had the fish & chips, a hearty dish that more than filled me up.

We went to have a beer and ended up having dinner. The beer selection is great and our server was very knowledgeable about both beer and dinner. The food is an amazing value. The wedge salad was prepared and presented like a gourmet restaurant. The burgers, also were gourmet with large portions. Next time we will try some beer blends as our server suggested. Fun time there.

While looking for a place for a pre-movie dinner; we read some reviews, looked at the menu, and took a chance. There are a number of good eateries in the old city; as well as the market square area, but we wanted something we hadnât tried yet. Ordered the crab bisque, wedge salad, and the bacon wrapped stuffed chicken. All were quite tasty: And the chicken was enough to share. Add in a few $3 cocktails, and I thought it was a great meal. Yes, $3 mimosas, and $3 sangrias on Sundays. Our serverâs name was Ashley, and she did a fine job. Came to our table often, and kept our glasses full, and the drinks coming. The service was perfect for such a laid back atmosphere. All n all, this was a great place for a quick bistro type dinner. Good food, good drinks, and great service: what else do ya need? P.S. Iâm holding back on the 5 rating for now, or at least until we give it a 2nd go around: Donât wanna get too excited over one visit.....Enjoy

Stopped in with friends while visiting town! The place was packed, but we were seated promptly. The food was excellent, and our waiter Andrew was patient with all of us, even the slightly intoxicated individuals. The bartender at our hotel recommended this location for dinner and we were all pleased with our meals!

Serve Simple Foods Whatever the specific restaurant concept, the ability to create menu items in a consistently excellent manner is directly related to ease of production and simplicity of presentation. Consistency at a high level is always more important
We ended up checking out Smoky Mountain Brewery for dinner while in town for a business trip. We didn't want to go to a typical chain restaurant (which seems to be what's mostly in the Turkey Creek area) and this place seemed right up our ally. We were very pleased with our meal and the service was top notch. The burgers were amazing, I ordered the Ole' Smoky burger with a side of mashed potatoes and the sweet tea was soooooo good! My co-worker ordered the Kick-Back burger and she said it was delicious. I will definitely come back here for a meal the next time I am in town.

Balter Beerworks is a craft microbrewery, restaurant, and beer garden set to open early 2016 in downtown Knoxville. #WithEnjoyment
The food is a little spicy and fru fru for me personally (which in all fairness many breweries are) but the beer was nothing special. This is too much of a trendy Scruffy town hangout and not a true brewery in my opinion. It is popular as a hangout and not the true product. Service was awful and very slow and parking is very limited here. Extremely expensive for the beer and the food portions you get.
