We are frequent Waffle House customers at various location especially when we are traveling. It is a very odd thing to get poor service & food at a Waffle House. This particular one Store # 763 managed to do both!! I received lumpy grits, burnt toast, burnt bacon which I had to send back. Also we had to ask for creamer everytime we received coffee, had to ask for the jelly for our toast, the syrup for our waffles, I mean these are standard items you give a customer when you put the food on the table or at least ask!! I took a picture of part of the breakfast. I wish I had thought to take a pic of all of it. I did however take a pic of the store # to call and intend to call it. Worst waffle house I've ever eaten at!

Tried the regular Burger and was not impressed. I was also surprised they didn't have sweet tea, i thought every restaurant in Tennessee had sweet tea. They only take cash and they sure don't get in a hurry for anything. Thank you for stopping in.......sorry it did not meet your standards, and no every place in Tennessee does not have sweet tea...lol. Maybe you would consider giving us another try sometime and trying something different. Thanks again.

I like ambiance as much as the next person, but give me good food in a plain old diner and I'm happy as anything. We stopped outside Knoxville for the night and found this little gem. Plain, open room, chrome and formica tables, the nicest people working ever and a menu where everything was about $10 or less. I had a the sirloin steak special. Trust me, I've paid way more for steaks of lesser quality! The little salad and the potato were just enough. Mister had chicken fingers, slaw and home fries and was happy too. The bill? $20 + tax. I had a Coke too. Such a deal. I would SO go back over and over if it weren't hundreds of miles from home! About 5 minutes east of I-75 at the Caryville exit.

This was my first trip to Katie"s, we had been working in the yard most of the day so I was very hungry when I got there. I chose the chopped steak dinner and I wasn't disappointed, they added onions and peppers to the steak and it was delicious. I tried some of their corn nuggets too, they were very good. Our server was very friendly and did a wonderful job of taking care of us. When it was time to pay the bill I was pleasantly surprised at the cost, $31 for four of us. I'm looking forward to going back and trying their cheeseburger, I hear they are very good.
