Lunch time, but apparently not on Saturday - to go. I got a Gyro with everything (took their word for it). My wife wanted a chicken plate with rice and salad. Again, as mentioned by others - the salad was minimalist - but they do call the lunch salad the "small" salad. No cucumbers? I didn't like that you could not see the ingredient bar at the counter. That's what I meant by I had to take their word that my sandwich had "everything". No black olives - those are staple in Greek places. Also my wife did not get any pita bread - a given at most other places. Total with tax was almost $18 - one gyro and a plate. Won't be back - a couple other places closer to home and a better deal. They were very friendly, though.
Where to eat Thai food in Smyrna: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Stopped here for lunch yesterday. It was our first time here. The restaurant is clean (had a 98 health score posted). The menu is primarily pita sandwiches & salads, (no soup). My wife and I both ordered the lunch special which was a chicken pita gyro with a side of either French fries or a side salad. Total bill for two lunch specials with drink was $15.59. I got the salad and my wife got the fries. The pita's are made to order so you can get what you want on it. They were very generous with the meat, which was pieces of chicken white meat cooked in some kind of orange colored oil. My salad was mostly chopped romaine lettuce with a few pieces of diced tomato and some grated cheese. The most impressive thing to me was the portion size. They were very generous with the meat. My wife liked the fries, said they were not at all greasy and wondered if they had been baked instead of fried. To me the meat had a little bit of a strange taste, not spicy, not greasy, just different. I ate the whole thing, it wasn't bad, just not delicious. The seating area is tables and chairs all in the open area in front of the counter where you order. Drinks were self serve Coke products plus tea. Overall I thought it was just average, nothing special but okay.
We stumbled upon Deez, and wow, we are glad we did. The food was great - it's fresh, so it's not really quick - but it's worth the wait. Also, the service was fantastic. We had some allergies and some picky eaters, and they were incredibly thoughtful in packaging things separately and taking care to make sure we were good with the ingredients. I was so impressed - and the prices are really hard to beat. We'll be back!
This has recently changed from Fat Mo's hamburgers, so I decided to give it a try. It was almost 7:00 pm when I drove stopped in. No patrons in the establishment. Ordered gyro plate. It was mostly rice and not much meat or salad. Guess it is really difficult to find authentic Greek food in this area.
