Papa Ron's is an Italian restaurant that offers the best in Italian food. Our menu ranges from a wide variety of pastas, steaks, pizzas and sandwiches. We take pride in our many selections our menu offers. Our goal is for no one to go hungry, and our port
Sometimes the name doesn't fit and I think this may be the case for Papa Ron's. Upfront, I liked this place. The staff were very friendly and our waitress was great. The menu is fairly extensive with a wide variety of food types ranging from burgers to steaks to pasta. I like Italian food (have eaten plenty of it and is one of my go to foods when traveling) so was looking forward to having some wonderful pasta. Well the verdict for our meal was a split decision. My wife rated the blackened chicken alfredo as very good. The portion was plentiful (blackened chicken breast cut in strips on top of what appeared to linguini noodles (not handmade) with a nice sauce). On the other hand, the Scampi on my Shrimp Scampi seemed to have scampered away. It was as bland as the dish looked. Again the portion was good and there were plenty of medium sized shrimp atop a bed of spaghetti (tasted like your regular store bought stuff) swimming in a light lemon and oil sauce (perhaps a little wine but couldn't tell). The shrimp were not deveined which distracted from the presentation and really just a bit icky. Garlic? A faint hint of garlic but in total the dish is just bland. Ordered a separate side of spaghetti with mariana sauce which was equally disappointing (chunky tomatoes in what tasted like sauce from a can, not homemade). The bread on the other hand was wonderful. Perhaps it just a case of one dish not meeting expectations and that the steak and hand helds are better. If we're in the area again, may stop in and give it another try.Thank you for the detailed review! We appreciate the suggestions and will look into them further. Hope to see you again soon. We recommend trying the Pasta Primavera during your next visit!

On a stop over going home we stopped at pizza Hut in Monteagle, TN. Upon entering I had a little bag of garbage from trip. The shift manager, a horrible man, ordered me to go to back of restaurant to the dumpster.Granny Rose came forward and told Keela,a server to bring me a garbage can. We weren't going to stay to eat because of this awful man. Granny Rose changed that. We ate, and she made us feel welcome.
