Iâve been to the one in Cordova and expected this one to be very similar. Itâs not. Kids chicken tender meal comes with two chicken fingers, fries and small drink. I swapped the fries for green beans. There may have been a tablespoon of actual green beans in the bowl the rest was liquid. No drink was given and it was $6. Very limited options and not low carb friendly.

New structure made to look old. Seasoned wait staff, big menu for a BBQ place. Meals made to order with nit much wait. Popular new location modeled after a decades old institution a few miles east. Owner/manager keeps a close watch and food is very consistent.

This new location is at the corner of Houston Levee and Poplar. Easy to get to, plenty of parking. New building with modern but cozy decor. Staff is very friendly and service is very good. Typical BBQ menu with pulled pork, ribs, links, and even chicken and turkey. We had the chicken, which was tasty but a little dry. Sides of beans and potato salad. Beans were flavorful but potato salad was a bit bland and too creamy. Pulled pork came with beans and Cole slaw. The slaw was very good. We also had the pig chips, which are potato chips with BBQ seasoning on them. Very good and plenty for two or three to share. Got some banana pushing to go. Very disappointing. Lacking in flavor with no evidence of actual bananas. Would not order again, but everything else was great and we will be going back, even though its not the closest BBQ joint to the house.
