It is what it is! But this A&W is clean and very modern. The food is what you would expect. The kids service were attentive and friendly. For a quick shirt order meal or an old fahioin treat this is a great place to eat.
Second time stopping in here. This time was on a Sarurday of labor day around 11AM..asked for a fryed chicken box..told it would be 20 minutes before chicken would be ready. Time before same so cannot comment on food as it was not available.

Hard to complain about a fast food chain. They are usually very consistent in their service and food. It was just hard to get over the ants in the dining area. Hard to believe this was the first time they were noticed.

Looked for a place with plenty of cars in the parking lot. This has a very homey and local feel. If your looking for fancy, this is not it. Quite good food, friendly waitress, nice atmosphere. The catfish was very good, and the baked sweet potato was delicious. I told the waitress that there was not a single part of the meal that was not really good, and that was exactly what I felt. I would go back if I were in town again.

Found the Spot by accident - read about it on Trip Advisor but got turned around in town. Recognized picture from Trip Advisor. No frills but fantastic burgers. Big, cooked just right. Toppings as ordered. Friendly, helpful wait staff. Pretty good onion rings. Perfect iced tea.

My second visit here.Iâve done lunch and dinner and no complaints.Full of locals, customers and employees interact like family.Itâs a clean, friendly establishment.Food is better than average.A previous negative reviewer said itâs a one meat 3 veg joint.Thatâs partially true for the available buffet (they down played it) however there is still an extensive menu available. This is my go to in the area for sure!

We were traveling through town and stopped at Ma Ma Fiaâs for lunch. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The service was prompt and friendly. We asked about salads and the waitress recommended the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Salad. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. The chicken was abundant and tender with a sweet and spicy sauce. The salad had sautéed onions and peppers, croutons and craisins. It was the best salad Iâve had in a while. I wish I lived closer and could eat there all the time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this local restaurant. The catfish was amazing, very tasty with large portions. More food than we could eat, with the sides of fries and hush puppies. We took home some pie to eat later, since we couldn't pass it up. The service was excellent, very friendly and fast. We're glad we stopped here on our visit to nearby Shiloh Battlefield.

Looking for a place for lunch and spotted the Hickory Pit while buying gas. Gave it a shot and very glad we did. Got the Pulled Chicken & Pulled Pork BBQ Plates. Came with outstanding baked beans, fries, slaw & a roll. More than enough. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Even gave us Iced Tea togo.Like BBQ, go!

We're in the area for a couple weeks and some new friends recommended that we try The Outpost, and boy, are we glad we heeded their advice. The Outpost is GREAT! Everything about it was a treat, from the rustic-but-clean-and-modern facilities to the fabulously creative and tasty food. And the service was superb! Our server was friendly -- I mean like lifelong friends friendly -- and patient, and she obviously loved working there. She knew the menu backwards and forwards and was comfortable making recommendations. Other people who worked there came by periodically too, to check how we were doing, to talk about the food, and to offer drink refills, etc. The menu has many unique items so it was difficult to choose, but our server helped. I selected the brisket plate and it was very tasty. The meat had more fat than I'm used to or expected, but the flavor was wonderful and deep. Plus, if I'm anything like my dog, the fat will give me a nice shiny coat! My wife enjoyed her flatbread Philly Cheese Steak sandwich immensely. The flatbread was fresh and tasty, and it fit the overall sandwich perfectly. Our only disappointment was that our meals were so filling and tasty that we had no room left to enjoy their house-made cakes or pies or ice cream. You can't win 'em all, right? I highly recommend The Outpost. P.S. Make sure you plan to spend some extra time exploring the shops before or after your meal.
