The food is always delicious and usually relatively quick. Sometimes, when the lunch crowd hits, it does take a little longer than it should. They need to be better prepared so they don't run out and have to make people wait--especially if they are students on their way to class, stopping by for a quick lunch.

This is my hometown drive in that I grew up eating at. As always, the food is awesome. I got a pizza burger and root beer. The only place in the world that serves a pizza burger. You have no idea how delicious it is until you try it. No words to describe. This is a family owned business for over 50 years and it’s still the best and cheapest food in town. They make everything fresh to order. If you haven’t been here to eat, you have no idea what you have passed up. Go check it out. You won’t be disappointed. I know when I come home to visit from Nashville, this is definitely the first place I want to eat at. Love it and will love it for years to come.

Martin, TN doesn't have a lot of local places to eat at. They do have several fast food chains. I found this place on another site and will admit I miss took this place as being more of a "health conscious" place probably because of the "Fresh" in the name. I was traveling with a co-worker, and we were a bit confused by when they are open. I saw one site that listed they were open til 6 pm, another 8 pm. When we got there, they had a sign with their new hours which is open til 7 pm Mon-Thur, Fri & Sat til 9 pm. The inside is very bare bones, no ambiance, the focus is on the food. Also all the food is served on plastic plates with plastic utensils. If that is a turn off to you, then this is not your place. I tried the special which was baked pork chops with a choice of sides for $10.95. My sides were green beans and cheesy mash potatoes. My coworker did the chicken fried steak, with side salad, chessy mash potatoes and extra side of hush puppies. I had to admit I was concerned that everything would be seasoned with salt and lots of it.(I have to watch my salt intake these days) But I was pleasantly surprised that everything was seasoned properly. Green beans were well cooked to bright green without being limp. The pork chops were de-boned and came with an apple stuffing that was delicious. The only thing that wasn't as advertised was the mash potatoes, I didn't taste the cheese. But they were good mash potatoes. My co worker's salad, lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes were all fresh looking. Hush puppies were good. Prices were good and our server was nice. Glad we had an opportunity to try it.

Opera House Restaurant

Was disappointed that Martin isn't exactly the culinary capital of anything. But Opera House looked like the best option. I was greeted at the door by Miss Edith who was the epitome of a southern lady. Off to a great start. She say me at the bar, where Ashlynn took very good care of me. Their bar selection was strong for a small town without a liquor store. Ashlynn was very attentive. Made me a good old fashioned. She had plenty of suggestions. Crab cake appetizer was very good. After that, I was close to full, but she recommended the etoufee. I must say it was very good. If you are ever in Martin, the Opera House should be your dinner spot.

The Hearth has always been kind of iffy to me. I wouldn’t go because the garland on the buffet was covered in dust and had never been cleaned...the garland has now been replaced...so I’m not so freaked out by it anymore. I will say the food is excellent...I really do enjoy eating here. The only thing I can really say negative is that most of the staff is on meth and it makes me very uncomfortable when I’m eating...I get a very bad vibe from the workers even though they’re always nice and courteous.

The Grind mac & cheese burger bar

A fun bar and grill that specializes in burgers and Mac n cheese, crazy over the top milkshakes as well as spiked milkshakes for adults and lots of other selections!

I went there last month and the waitresses (4 or 5) made me feel like a celebrity!!!I ordered the Cowabunga Pizza Rolls and they were delicious! They are hand-made and larger than what you'd normally see. This place is also known for the large, piled high milkshakes. They look like a meal alone! Summer time is less crowded while the college students are gone. I went between 4 - 5 p.m. and did not have to wait. You can find this place & menu online.
