Little Bite of Everything

Went on Saturday July 20. Cute shop, service was good. Fries are great. Burgers... Not worth the price. I got the southern burger with pimento cheese and fried green tomatoe. Burger was dry and cheese was cold and not melted. Husband had mushroom burger and asked for Mai mayo in it... They used miracle whip! Was really surprised after reading other reviews and thought maybe it was us, but the ladies in the table next to us were saying the same thing. We did not try and desserts.

Excellent BBQ and large portions. Mac n cheese and green beans are a nice alternative to the traditional potato salad and beans, although these are available as well. Good pies and I suggest you opt for the lemonade. Good people own and work at this restaurant.

We saw this restaurant on our way to our hotel, and decided to return for dinner. I'm glad we did. The food and service were both excellent. This is not a fine dining steakhouse, but it is definitely one of the best of its type.

O'Charley's

Our menu is filled with classic American dishes like steak, salmon, burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as other traditional favorites like slow-roasted prime rib and our famous chicken tenders, all at a great value.

This was within short walking distance from Holiday Inn Express. Recommended by front desk clerk. We had the prime rib which was not quite as tender as we like it. I had the tropical margarita but it was too sweet. I would recommend the regular one. It was huge! The waitress was new; it was her first day. She was very friendly and apologetic for her mistakes. We are 75 and 76 years old and it’s the first time in over 50 years that we have been carded! We laughed so hard! Apparently, it is their policy to card everyone.

We took out two pizzas from Zanders when we were traveling through Clinton. The restaurant is downtown, away from the hotels and the interstate. The crust and sauce were very good. The kitchen was very accomodating to customize their selections to meet our tastes. The restaurant ambience was pleasant. Zanders was a great alternative to the fast food choices near the hotels. I would definitely return.

It is a chain restaurant but you will know there is a standard of quality expected at Cracker Barrel and this location delivers this quality in the food and service. Located west of Nashville and easy access off I-40. I would go there again.

Trying to avoid the chain restaurants, friends and I decided to try Cindy’s. The parking lot was very crowded which did not disappoint.... that the food and service were good. This group of friends has a habit of eating patty melts when we are fabric shopping together which we had just done. And these were indeed top notch patty melts. All for just over $7. This is a very convenient location on the west side of the highway headed back to I40 from Dickson at Exit 172. Would return.

This is a hidden local gem we never would have found without Trip Advisor. Nothing fancy to draw you in, and located in a strip mall, but this place is a burger-lover's dream.Their regular size burgers are 1/2 lb patties! The waitress kindly told us about the 5 oz. junior-size option. They also have an even smaller child-size burger on the kid's menu which was just right for our 8 year old.Hand-shapped patties, house-cut fries (perfectly crispy!), and shakes made from hand-scooped ice cream. Everything delicious. Need I say more? Our family of four (2 adults and two lids under 10) ate for about $30 plus tip.We will definitely stop again if we get another chance to come this way.

Don't ya just hate it when you have a reservation and the place is practically empty save one or two diners and you arrive for an early dinner and they seat you right by the front door so the customers can hover over you while you eat? Welcome, to Lugo's. We asked to be placed at a different table and were accommodated, but really? The lasagna ($17.00) was good enough although seemed more American than Italian. It was a generous portion, and served with a slice of almost blackened ordinary white toast. A dining partner ordered the shrimp and pasta which was a tasteless meal of bland shrimp and pasta in a fish broth. The salmon had good reviews as did the beet salad and chicken cordon bleu. After taking our order the waiter said he'd bring some bread - lukewarm biscuits which were tasty enough showed up after about fifteen minutes. The service was slow - receiving the food was slow - everything was slow. Eventually, the waiter took our payment on separate checks (I paid with cash) and went to the restroom. My change had not been returned nor did I receive a receipt. The waiter did not ask about the other diners me and I did not tell him to keep the change. The hostess located our waiter who returned to the table and said he "forgot" to return to the table. The receipt was not included and the change was inacccurate. Without presenting me with a receipt, I am assuming he kept the exact change. More often, I am encountering servers who feel entitled to a tip - whether putting you on the defensive in front of other diners asking "do you need change?" or in some cases increasing the tip amount in the tip space when paying with a card. It seems, now, even when paying with cash, there is a sense of entitlement. I am not sure what makes Lugo's so popular except that it is on a quaint street and there's not much elsewhere to go in town.At times, when guests arrive, the dining room can look empty even though most, or all, tables are actually reserved in the coming hour. Our tables are arranged so that small and larger tables are intermixed throughout the dining room. On busy nights we try to seat tables right at capacity (2 at a 2, 4 at a 4, and so on). The table you were assigned is unique in that it seats 5, the exact number of guests in your party. We are happy we were able to accommodate your request to be seated at a larger table due to your early arrival. We apologize your lasagna was not "authentic" enough, however, we are a Contemporary AMERICAN restaurant that happens to serve pasta dishes. We hand cut our steaks and grind the meat filling, make the marinara from scratch, and use quality cheeses to ensure a great tasting dish.We are glad your friends enjoyed the beet salad, salmon, and chicken cordon bleu. We would have liked to know about the scampi so that we could offer another option to the guest that ordered it. We strive to prepare every dish with care, but sometimes fall short. We would much rather correct the situation immediately, but cannot if we are unaware. We are disappointed that you perceived your service as slow. We strive for allowing you to enjoy your experience without the feeling of being rushed. At times meals can take longer because everything is prepared fresh, however we will discuss this with the server. As for your change, you are completely correct in expecting a receipt and complete change without a mention. It is our policy that our servers NEVER assume change is their tip. This will be promptly addressed and corrected. Deliberately adjusting tips on credit lines is illegal and would result in termination. To insinuate that would happen here is offensive. I do hope if that happened to you elsewhere you would contact the restaurant immediately. In the end, we are sorry your experience at Lugo's fell so short. We do hope that the next time you dine out your experience is a better one. Most servers we have come in contact with here, and abroad are honest, hardworking individuals.
