Traveling through - perfect

We were breaking up a long drive to the coast and stayed overnight here. The owners were super friendly owners. The location was beautiful and allowed for our kids and dog to get some energy out after a long day of travel. So glad we found this place and can't wait to come back (with friends).

French Broad Outpost Ranch

Great Getaway!

Reviewed By mwrasse

A friend and I booked this trip a few months ago, and after staying, I am thinking about when I can go back. We went during the off season, so everything was very laid back and relaxing. We had a fun time of family style homemade meals, horseback riding, and a small cattle drive. I have very minimal experience with horses, and they made sure you felt comfortable on your horse before going out. We met a great couple while staying here, which made the trip even better. Most of the staff was new, but everyone was extremely nice and made you feel at home. There is no wifi or cell service, the long gravel road to get to the ranch is the correct road, and the doors to the rooms don't lock, which wasn't a big deal because we left any valuables/wallets in the car since there's almost no reason why you would need any of those things. If you keep an open mind, you won't be disappointed staying here.

Had a really great time while staying at the Lodge. Extremely clean and supplied with everything you need for cooking. Kimberly (the owner) was readily available and accommodating. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.

Depicting one of the many incredible splendors of His creation....and nestled on a ridge that runs through the valley is a hidden 'horse lover's paradise'...the Sequatchie Valley B&B Guest Ranch, also known as 'A Tennessee Dude and Guest Ranch'. U.S. & International guests from around the world love learning all there is to know about horses...one of God's most magnificent creatures. Our Dude and Guest Ranch Horses actually become YOUR horses during your stay at the ranch. The morning sun rises slowly above the mountains in the valley as the roosters begin to crow. Listen to the early morning moo's from the cattle as their sounds echo across the valley floor. Hear the sounds of the horses hooves as they gallop in from the fields. The voice of your wrangler rolls across the late morning dew as you receive a whole new world of knowledge about horses you never knew. In the evening listen close and you may hear the late night howls of the coyote across the mountain tops as you sit on the back deck or relax by the pool to study the stars in the clear open skies. Best of all, build your own Guest Ranch vacation to fit your vacation budget and schedule. Book a traditional week long Family Dude Ranch Vacation for five or six days or try our 'mini' guest ranch vacation with a three or four day getaway. Only a few families are booked at the ranch at any given time so you will enjoy the privacy of a true family guest ranch vacation. If you want the atmosphere but not the horses take a look at our Farm Stays! If you're staying somewhere else or live close enough to drive in for the day you may just want to participate in our Ranch & Ride Day Program! If the whole family can't gallop out to the ranch this year, you can even book your child for a one week or two week long National Horse Camp experience ... for kids only!

Wow I had know Idea how much Fun

This was some of the best riding I have ever had. No nose to tail rides. Beautiful scenery. The wranglers were so helpful with all we did. I have been to 3 other ranches and never had this much control of my horse. I fed him, cleaned the stall , saddled him, he was mine in every aspect. I loved it. I loved it so much we are going back in April for another week. One thing that stood out was the horse ride to church. I can't wait to get back on Scout. The people at the ranch, wow that is as close as I can get. They will be friends for life.

Great but gone

Reviewed By tonytigrr

The cabin I stayed at (several times) was nice, secluded and had all new furnace and other things, but apparently that was done so the property could be sold...which it has been. For the person that didn't like that the property was on a dark lit road...secluded means secluded!
