Drago Nest has excellent viewings from the terrace to the Teide Montain and to the sea. If you want to enjoy of the mountain you have routes by foot from the hostel. We promote the local gastronomy such as cheese, honey, marmalades, chocolate and the gofio (corn flour). It is in Icod de los vinos, a city in the middle of the mountain. So you have spectacular views.

Reviewed By FreddieedGreat place, stayed one night on the way to Puerto de la Cruz and was told that they had another there Puerto nest so repeated. Drago next is good for visiting Teide and hiking. Nice roof tops in both. Great staff and atmosphere.

They impressed me by the best breakfast which I ever had in hostel. Also is very nice atmosphere there, stuff are great and helpful. I am sure, you will enjoy it!

At "Lagarto" numerous activities take place aimed at creating a homely relaxing atmosphere. Aside from the facilities which are meant for sheer relax, such as the garden with swimming-pool, the BBQ area, the communal area with Internet access also equipped to watch films in, the communal kitchen, etc. we also organize other activities such as day-trips, sightseeing tours, surf-trips, bike rental, parties and conferences...

Reviewed By LoJacoThe staff is great, they are amazing and very helpful. Free breakfast with homemade fresh pancakes is brilliant. Very good facilities. Cleanliness could be improved in my opinion, my pillow case was very stinky, I realized it when it was too late to complain. The location for me was just awful, in the middle of nowhere. It is okay if you have a car, then it's not a problem, but I didn't rent a car, so I lost a lot of time and money going out of this area. Just for this I would not stay here again.

Great place for a getaway

The hostel is away from busy tourist areas and close to quiet secluded beaches, cheap restaurants and lively bars. Great value for money.

Reviewed By Joël MWe had a really nice time at the hostel! Actually it felt more like a shared big house - we came in summer and it seems that's off season, so there were only two other couples which made our experience really relaxed. But also the people working there were so freindly and warm hearted, we felt so welcomed and well taken care of and of course they had many good tips for us. :) Especially if you don't know where to stay on Tenerife, come to la Orotava! The north coast is much more beautiful and authentic than the touristy south! In the north there are black sand beaches and la Orotava is the perfect starting point for tours to both the sea and the mountains, since it is situated in the middle of both! Also the city itself is really beautiful. If I remember correctly it was once the capital and therefore very rich, which left its marks on the beautiful charming old buildings. We will def come back!
