Tollboden Hotell and Restaurant is located at the sea, in the city center of Kragerø, famous for its over 490 islands and skerries. Each of the 13 rooms and suites in the heritage property from 1785 have a unique charme. Guests can enjoy both water and gardenviews. To offer the best comfort, guests can choose from a blanket and pillow menu. A continental breakfast is included in the roomprice and guests can enjoy onsite lunch and dining in one of the two restaurants. Tollboden Hotell and Restaurant has a big winecellar with over 10.000 bottles and a bar as well. Enjoy the coastal life with lots of culture and stunning nature.
Just what I needed
Reviewed By Turkishtulip72I stayed at this hotel as part of a weekend yoga retreat for 2 nights. Even though this was the first time the hotel organized such an event -with minor hiccups- the total experience was just wonderful. The hotel itself is amazing, the perfect combination of modern and historic. Kudos to the interior designer who obviously respects the walls from the 1700s but managed to make this a top-comfy environment. The hotel restaurants (one by the water and the other in the back garden surrounded by the various historic buildings) were top notch. The service was professional but friendly at the same time (a find in Norway by the way) - and that food! We had the pleasure to meet and thank the head chef, #DaveCook in person. Triple gin tonic caviar anyone? Just WOW. This is a gem of a place. Just go!

Perfect Stop to/from Oslo and the Coast
Reviewed By ATWtravlerNice 3-star rooms - older but extremely clean. Remodeled bathroom and nice bedding. The lobby sitting area, bar and restaurant are top class. Included breakfast was great and we also had dinner (very few option within driving distance). Dinner offered a pork, fish and venison option for the main and a couple of starters/deserts. Great food and fair prices. Friendly staff. Beautiful location on a lake with hiking or just relaxing. We only stayed 1 night but would have been fine with 2 or 3 and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Nutheim is a small hotel, run by one family, situated in the beautiful mountainous landscape of Flatdal in the heart of Telemark. For the last century, painters and travelers have enjoyed the atmosphere and stunning view here. The old wooden buildings, one from the 16th century, and the white timber-built hotel, has an exciting charm with a mix of modern and traditional interiors, a gallery, and Nutheim also has its own small brewery! Great Food, view and location
Reviewed By Ketil MGreat location and very nice food. Friendly and helpful staff made our Lunch stop a perfect stop and rest. We sat outside. Inside is cozy and they even have a small gallery with art if you like. Can be reccomended.

Wonderful cozy room
Reviewed By pholtanCozy clean room. Quaint host and very helpful in finding a connection to our relatives in the area! Nice Breakfast. He helped us get some hot water to make hot choc. and heat up some roomogrot as well. We recommend this place. No elevators... so stairs.

Cosy, small guesthouse in the middle of beautiful Telemark. Close to the Seljord lake, well known for it's sea serpent. All rooms have private bathroom and free TV/wifi. Kitchen in or available for all rooms. Food market nearby, open all days. Well suitable for families or couples.
Wonderful stay
Reviewed By Marci AWe had a wonderful stay at Solheim for 2 nights. We were actually given a larger room, at no extra charge, that was great to have some extra room. We had delicious breakfasts each day and really enjoyed seeing a more authentic Norwegian spot than a typical hotel. This is more of a Bed and Breakfast. It was a great location while visiting our daughter in nearby Bø. Would definitely recommend.

Langesund Bad was built in 1898, and located at coast, in the middle between Oslo and Kristiansand, it soon became a place famous guests often frequented. In 2006 Langesund Bad got new owners, and lots of resources have been dedicated to upgrade the hotel to modern standards.
So much potential and yet...
Reviewed By sveinosmA beautiful place surrounded by historic greatness .... well, at least that’s the first impression from the outside. By a closer look you’ll notice that a paint job was due 10 years ago, and the rooms are in need of a serious renovation. However, if you do enjoy small rooms, crappy standards, and cold showers, then this is definitely a place for you! (Yes, there’s limited/no hot water). The potential is great, but the willingness to invest is missing. There’s two types of old: old and charming, and just old. This place belongs to the latter category. If there’s no funds for renovation; start with the small things: do some painting, some cleaning, and change broken lightbulbs! The breakfast was ok, but barely better than the one we had at a hostel the day before (which was much cheaper!) On a positive note: the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cozy comfortable accommodation
Reviewed By John_M255115Fyresdal is an attractive village on the shores of Lake Fyresvatn. We were the only guests on the night of our stay. Our spotless room was very pleasant with wooden floors and wood paneled walls, two large twin beds of a firmer nature, a stand-alone wardrobe, table and shower. The toilets were in the hallway along with a larger shower. Breakfast is served in an attractive room (Nok95 per person) where one can also watch TV. There are two decks that are available to sit and relax.

Reviewed By ninagirlenIt was a small cabin. No water, no toilet. It was 1 shower for woman and 2 toilet. It was ok clean. Nice and helpful Staff. Location central in Seljord. It is cheap, and thats what you get. Not cosy, but roof over your head

Rjukan Guesthouse Rjukan Guesthouse is situated 5 minuters walk from Park Hotel Rjukan (About 400 meters), on the other side of the river. We have 50 hybelrom, all rooms with shower / wc. Free internet access. It comes with linen and towel. Breakfast is served at the Park Hotel Rjukan. The reception is located at Park Hotel Rjukan.
Really a terrible place
Reviewed By ToneH127Do not stay here if you are expecting a nice and clean place. I was terrified to find my rooms bath and toilet conditions wery unhealty. On top of this there were no TV, I was on first floor an my curtains were taped to the wall to prevent someone to look straight in.

Rjukan Gjestegard. The hostel is situated in the centre of Rjukan short way from Tourist Information, several shops, restaurants, a cinema and the swim hall Rjukanbadet. It is easy get to the wilderness of Hardangervidda with the cable car Krossobanen. The Gaustablikk area and the Gaustatoppen (1883m) are not far away either by car or bus. This hostel has rooms of various sizes and standards. We make breakfast and serve it in our nice dining-room. The rooms from 1–4 persons have a sink with cold and hot water, bedclothes and towel. Bathrooms are on each floor. Breakfast is extra. The luxury rooms have bathroom, TV, internet and a mini-bar . Breakfast is included. Our guests are welcome to use the well-equipped guest-kitchen, drying-room for sport–gear, sitting-rooms ,wireless internet and parking.
