This restuarant is just off the Avenue de la Constitution. The staff were amazing! I speak pretty much no Spanish and my boyfriend a fraction more; realising this the waitresses started to talk us through the menu in English, which they were learning. They were so nice as they did this and were clearly keen to learn any words they didn't know, and never once seemed annoyed at us for not knowing Spanish. They were a delight throughout the evening and their English was good too! The food was delicious, 3 dishes to share was plenty for us (I'd recommend the potatoes with chocolate and cumin sauce, sounds odd but totally works!). They even packed up what we couldn't eat to take home. The local Gran Canarian white wine was also surprisingly good.

Nice location for this local and typical cuisine restaurant in Playa del Hombre. View to the ocean. Typical Canarian cuisine at very good prices. Daily menus at 20€ (starter, main courand dessert).
The beach is just in front (100m). Nice option for good cheap meal if you're in Telde area. (Airport, Ikea, Alcampo Mall).

Heel lekkere tapas, vernieuwend, lekkere wijnen, heel vriendelijke eigenaar die moeite doet, echt een aanrader!

This isn't the sort of place for a cosy meal for a small group but if you're celebrating with a large circle of friends and family, this may be an interesting choice. If there are children then that makes it even better. There is space for them to run and play but make sure they don't go running down the stairs, which can be dangerous. The stairs lead to a bar lounge, where dancing can take place. Enquire for details. I was there in a part of about 100 people or so on a pre-arranged set menu including "free bar" and dancing.
With large groups and a set menu, it's unfair to judge the quality of food. What I had was average - edible but easy to forget about after. Tops for service and the open spaces. Free parking, too.

It's not the kind of place I'd recommend for you to go out of the way for but if you're around the area and fancy some real Spanish/Canarian cooking, then this might just be the place. It's close to the airport if you have transport; on foot, it'll be too far.
It's huge, although it's divided into several areas (events, snacks, main restaurant). It can get busy but the local peak lunch hour starts around 2-3 pm so a reservation is recommended if you're coming around that time. Not open on Saturday evening nor on Sunday as far as I know.
Service is friendly but its clientèle is local, not foreigners; bear that in mind. It's a family set-up that grew and grew, so it must have grown for a reason. After all, the location isn't exactly where you'd be looking for a top-notch restaurant. They specialise in fried squid (calamares a la Romana) and also rice (arroz con bogavante, arroz negro, etc). Apart from these, you get the usual local specialities such as papas arrugadas, croquetas and so on.
Oh, kids and babies are welcome.

Had an absolutely great dinner here. Prices are good, and service is quick and efficient and they have an English language menu and one of the waiters speaks basic English.
This restaurant is next to a beach mainly frequented by locals, so is away from the typical touristy areas.
We had grilled fish, grilled squid, and a number of other dishes, and prices were not bad at all.
More than worth a visit if you are nearby.

I can't imagine many tourists go here, but if you are in the area, it is well worth a visit. The food is very good, heavily sea food orientated, but they do some meat dishes as well. A Spanish friend of ours recommended the place and we had a really good value for money meal there. I had some excellent fish croquettes, but my friends meals (fish stew, a salad, and a steak) were all very good too. Service was very good, and the price was very reasonable.

Consigliato!
