Teddington is a suburban area lying west south-west of London, England. Historically in Middlesex, it has been part of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames since 1965. Teddington is on the north bank of the Thames, just after the start of a long meander, between Hampton Wick and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. Mostly residential, it stretches from the Thames to Bushy Park with a long high street reaching down to pubs, restaurants, leisure premises, fields and fitness clubs by the riverside, having a pedestrian suspension bridge over the lowest non-tidal lock on the Thames, Teddington Lock. Teddington's centre is mid-rise urban development.

Met a friend for lunch. We ordered a selection of a bottle of Cava, six tapas, two Deserts and two coffees. All were good quality and arrived without a long wait.I particularly enjoyed the calamari.A lot of restaurants over cook it and it’s like chewing on a piece of rubber but this was cooked to perfection.Delicious!
Will definitely be making a return visit soon.

This is very much a Victorian purpose built pub, but its roots are somewhat older. The original Teddington King's Head dates back to 1689, the time of William III. Maybe it's the history of the building that gives the pub its appeal or it could be Polly and her team who are undeniably charming, attentive and professional that make you want to come back time and time again. Our regulars love us for the informality and cosiness of the King's, we have a large pewter bar, inviting snugs, three separate rooms, open fireplaces and a wonderful walled patio at the back (with our own fruiting grape vine). Our open kitchen shows we are as serious about our food as we are about our ales and our wines - the menu features French brasserie dishes with an English pub twist with everything cooked fresh on the premises.
We have eaten here before, my friend is a local so she more than me. This is a Brasserie Blanc franchise and I frequently eat in my local one in Winchester. Both our starters were bland and tasteless. I had lentils with beetroot and cos lettuce which had absolutely no flavour or apparent seasoning at all. My companion had the winter fritter which could have contained the same chopped veg as accompanied her pork. Our mains were not much better, my companion had pork which was swimming in a lake of finely chopped veg and sauce and I had the steak frites, which although was tasty, considering the additional charge of £2 was very mean in size. The sweets were better, I particularly enjoyed the chocolate sponge. We did complain and we were refunded the price of our wine. However had I had the same meal in Winchester, I know the presentation and seasoning would have been so much better. Improvement needed!

Positives-
excellent friendly young staff and good service
Negatives-
menu is a strange mixture of different things...thai curry, fajitas, burgers, moules, sunday roasts etc etc...it would be better sticking to being a belgian restaurant and cutting the menu right down
Food- average standard...over poweringly seasoned, watery sauces..not impressed tbh and would not be racing back

An independent, family run Italian that stands out amongst the multitude of restaurant choices in Teddington.
It's not cheap, but it does serve excellent quality, authentic Italian cooking that you won't get anywhere else nearby. The service is friendly, the atmosphere warm and it's a great place for a special meal out.
The restaurant has been on its current site for over 30 years and is now part of the community and fully deserves the generally excellent reviews it receives.

We went for dinner on Saturday evening. We shared starters- all delicious but particularly would recommend the grilled octopus. Main courses were steak, lemon sole, veal and a pizza. All of us were happy with our choices. The service was friendly as always. Definitely the best Italian restaurant in the area.
