This ship restaurant is located in passenger harbour in Lahti. Location is good and the harbour area is one of the loveliest places in Lahti in summertime. Kaunis Veera have some typical Finnish dishes in their menu, such as salmon soup and vendaces, both of which are worth trying. Also they have some very good pizzas. Mains are between 13-18euros, stakes little bit more but overall price level is quite reasonable. If you go there in the evening (they are open until late) you might see a beautiful sunset while eating.

I visited this recently opened new restaurant in early April this year (2016) while visiting the city of Lahti, with a business colleague. It is beautifully appointed and comfortable. The award winning design affords excellent views across the harbour and southern end of Lake Vesijarvi from virtually every seat in the place. The food we were served can only be described as exquisite - "Finnish caviar" from the lake (not actually caviar but a very good alternative), Reindeer meat in a red wine sauce with local Cloud-berries, and a recently interesting selection of cheeses to finish. The service was just the combination of friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommended. Pricing good for this high standard.

Casseli is a restaurant in Lahti that should earn more attention (and customers) than what is the case. Unfortunately a normal tourist will not find this restaurant by mistake as it is situated in the harbor of Lahti and a bit outside the city centre. However, the location is one good reason to visit Casseli. The view from the restaurant (and from their terrace in summertime) over the harbor and the lake âVesijärviâ (meaning âwater lakeâ in Finnish) is fantastic, the food is very good and the interior is cozy modern. Worth a visit!

It was such a nice surprise to find this original restaurant in Lahti during our weekend visit. In fact, we did have dinner twice there! :) All staff is in many ways very talented and you will surely spend there enjoyable moments with excellent food and drinks in a nice atmosphere.

If your looking for a fun place to eat and some cold beer you canât wrong stopping here!As soon as you enter it is like being through back in time and eating with the Vikings plus eating local foods.A very large menu with many choices. We had the reindeer which was very good. The mushroom soup for a starter was very good on cold night along with the lamb stew.If you want to try some different things your can always get the âswordâ! Staff was great and very helpful. I would suggest you try the local Harald beer that just has a touch of honey added to it!
