We were a party of 20 and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this lovely restaurant. The staff seemed to juggle large parties and small, intimate groups easily, moving smoothly like a well-oiled machine.
We started with an Olive Oil tasting which seriously corrected our thinking on Olive Oils! My my you've created a monster now!
The meal was tasty and creative:
Wild herb flan with crispy egg and Parmesan cheese fondue
Lamb loin with cream of zucchini, bell-pepper with wild fennel and potato cubes
Finished off with a cheese selection, pear filled pastry and honey drizzle
Particularly interesting (and I'll be trying to copy this for a year) is the crispy egg! It's a soft boiled egg, coated with Parmesan and deep-fried. The outside is crispy and golden while the inside is still runny and gooey to soak up the herb flan.
Great job for both our larger group and the numerous small groups you balanced too.

"Wen in Rome", well actually in the Chianti region, you need to experience this authentic Tuscan restuarant. Be warned that this is not a roadside establishment, which just adds to the fun. Restaurant was filled with locals which is exactly waht we wanted to experience.

Have eaten at L'Archibugo for 10 years now when on holiday in Barberino Val d'Elsa. Best pizza ever but can't wait to sample the seafood/fish dishes on the menu now. Yes, I miss the view from the previous location but the ambiance, helpful and friendly staff, great wine and fantastic service remain the same and more than make up for that. But it is still a great view and the owners have made a new stunning restaurant out of the old Bustecca restaurant. How do you get the pizza crust so thin? This is a must for anyone to visit when in the area.

Go here. It's a no-brainer.
Food - delicious. The diavola pizza was incredible, and although not typical of this part of Italy, it was amazing. Steak was also great - would recommend just salt & pepper rather than truffle etc.
Service - helpful & attentive
Wine - extensive list and a great recommendation from the sommelier.
Decor - romantic but also suitable for a group of friends/family

A hilltop village a small restaurant, lots of conversation, wine and fine food. life doesnt get much better than that. but rarely do you find a restaurant that delivers on exactly those promises - this one does. welcomed warmly, wine on the table, extensive and excellent local selection of food - it was all perfect down to the vin santo and cantuccini. when can i come back?

Bearing in mind the restaurant is in the country, we were amazed how busy it was for a Tuesday evening ... Heaving in fact !! We were recommended to come here and were not disappointed; great food, great wine list, service was good, albeit the staff were rushed off their feet and I was almost exhausted just watching them literally running around !
I told my wife we didn't need to book; good job she ignored me ! If you decide to come here I would recommend booking online or calling ahead.
They don't do a children's menu, but can do smaller portions.
We we definitely coming back before returning home !

This is one of the great local finds. Katia and her staff are great, very friendly and helpful. Everyone is so nice here you really feel welcome, eating outside in summer is very nice. This place is always busy, so best to book. Menu is simple plenty of options, pastas are so well prepared. Lovely meat dishes. We have been coming here for years.

We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of a local vineyard. We stayed in the former owners’ villa.
The food is cooked perfectly. The service is impeccable. The servers were knowledgable and passionate.
The food was a culinary celebration, and the meal itself was an experience.
The variety of bread, olive oils, and balsamic vinegar alone was fantastic!

If you are hungry try another place. I ordered risotto con basilico and what I've received was just three spoons of risotto with some sauce. Totally disappointed and at least I decided not to order anything else. Prices are overrated, this is not a place to eat, maybe a place to taste the food.

Located on a side street in the quaint town of San Donato. They have a few Seating areas, but know that they descend downwards without windows. The pizza is famous in Tuscany, despite the fact that the original pizza chef that made it famous left and opened his own restaurant in Florence. The pizzas are very good, with special pizzas and crusts available. You can also order a large square pie and get it 1/2 1/2 for two people with different toppings---an excellent option and highly recommended! They also have a kitchen that makes seafood dishes. The seafood menu has more antipasti and primis and less second dish options, which makes it hard. They need to pre-crack the granchio (crab). The last time we ordered this pasta, we were unable to crack the thick claws, unfortunately ruining our shirts in the process. They have a nice and unique wine selection and ok beer selection. The wait staff speak very quiet, a weird comment, but very consistent across our visits there. A mix of locals and tourists.
