Fourth time we have been here in a couple of years. Very popular pub and again full on a January Saturday lunchtime. We were found a table and ordered a salad and a ploughman's lunch. The food arrived in just a few minutes despite how busy they were and was good. A good selection of cask ales premium lagers and a generally well stocked bar

A quaint British pub, with open, roaring fires in winter and old timber beams built in approx. 1257 And frequented by RAF Bomber Command Squadrons during the Second World War.
We visited The Bluebell for dinner. We both had the steak and ale pie. It was served with huge chunky chips and fresh vegetables. Everything was well prepared and presented. The service was efficient and friendly. There are various artefacts displayed throughout the pub relating to WW2 and in particular the RAF squadrons that were posted nearby. You can still see where many of the airmen signed their names on the ceiling. They also pushed pennies into the wooden beams with a view to returning from bombing Missions safe and well and using the penny to purchase a celebratory pint. Sadly and poignantly there are a significant number left in the wood.

We are an award winning gastro pub serving delightful home-cooked local food. We pride ourselves on friendly service, in a relaxing atmosphere with honest cooking.
Traditional setting inside the restaurant - unpretentious. Staff very nice and
efficient. Food excellent and lovely and hot. Service quick without being rushed. Chips lovely and remained hot. Sea bass lovely if a bit too much butter. Whitebait was the best I have had for some time and portion size generous - my husband and I shared it - one each would have been sufficient for me for lunch. Bread and butter delicious.

We could have eaten in the Terrace bar but chose the dining room. Very period. Great service and the food was excellent. The experience was worth the cost, which con sidering what we had was actuslly quite reasonable. Would recomend.

My friends and I are staying at tattersall lakes and had some friends coming for the day so decided to go out for lunch. There was 7 adults and 2 babies and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Told us to sit where ever and make ourselves at home. The drinks were very reasonabley priced with plenty of choice. The food menu was quite extensive with a specials board as well as sandwiches and jacket potatoes. The food was delicious and the portions were big. Quickly served but all home made. If was ever in the area again I would definitely be back.

A family run authentic Mediterranean restaurant.
Been here a few times, but this was the best yet.....We went in for a mid week lunch of there Pizza & Pasta Buffet..We were the 1st in and NOTHING was ready. The very friendly young chap asked us to sit wherever we liked and food would be about 10 mins...This done on purpose as they want everything to be as fresh as possible...Good to his word within 10mins there were 5 fresh & hot pizzas, 4 different types of Pasta lots of lovely fresh salad for us to help ourselves at and as often as we liked....I did in fact go back for seconds.......Good fresh food with nice mediteranean music in the background...It is just like Pizza Hut buffet but with quality food and clean tables etc....Great value too

This is a busy restaurant and if you don't book you are unlikely to get in. There are not many tables and the food is excellent. We booked even though we wanted to eat at 5.30. Other people who arrive without booking, even at that time, couldn't get a table. The menu is great as it has a good choice but is not so big that you doubt it is freshly cooked. They were great with food allergies too. The cod with Thai green curry was fantastic. prices are reasonable and portions a good size but not too big. The coconut rice was a pleasant treat. My daughter was not sure about it when we ordered it but did keep having extra helpings once she tasted it!

After visiting Tattershall Castle we needed food. Setting out we found it just down the road. Car park was heaving so thought not much chance of room inside. How wrong we were. Upon entering politely told restaurant was full (Mother’s Day) but plenty of room in bar area. In fact masses of room. Shared platter & lamb burger were good. Very good service from polite staff. Recommend going to anyone.

We visited here to try somewhere new recently, as we had heard good reviews from friends.
We called last minute to see if there was a table free - there was - so we went straight over.
Upon arrival the pub was clean, the staff friendly, and it was welcoming.
We went straight into mains - 1 x Pork & Stilton which was absolutely lovely, just the right amount of sauce, nice and hot so we knew it was fresh, and a good portion size with chips and salad. The other main was a burger, which looked homemade, cooked really well, not some dry packet meat.
For dessert, we had 1 x lemon curd cheesecake - it looked homemade, was a very generous slice, and was really nice and creamy. The other dessert was Belgian waffle which again was really nice - a generous portion.
Will definitely be going back here.
The only thing I would say is with regards to the decor, being an old place, with low ceilings and dark wood, the dark decor makes the whole place a bit dark and dingy. But the food and staff make up for that.
