Off Australia’s South Coast you’ll find the rugged and beautiful island of
Tasmania — a unique destination where you can see Tasmanian devils, walk
in the wilderness, take in stunning eco-cruises, taste artisanal cheeses and
even explore a controversial art museum. The best way to see it? Take the
back roads, but allow plenty of time: A short drive in any direction can lead to
wineries, distilleries, marine farms, convict settlements, pristine beaches,
fields of lavender and national parks…

Great view across water. Huge spa bath. Great on a windy wet day with some fine spells. Superb cuisine. Great whiskey at night. Full bar in room. Great food and lovely beers. Lovely walks to wineglass bay and sleepy bay. Coles bay beach a stunner. Sheltered

Just 25-minutes from Hobart CBD and at the entrance to Richmond historic village - Prospect House specializes in special occasion stays, intimate events and group-getaways including exclusive use. The onsite restaurant is open to both staying and non-staying guests for dinner and breakfast throughout the year. All room rates are inclusive of arrival sparkling wine, afternoon tea and cooked and continental breakfast each day.
Travelling around the Eastern part of Tasmania with some girlfriends for a holiday, Prospect House was by far our stand out accomodation. Absolutely beautiful, boutique location with exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything we needed (and some things we didn't even know we wanted) was looked after. Exceptional. Beautiful rooms which were heated to welcome us, outdoor fire for drinks before dinner, great food, wines - could not recommend highly enough. Thank you so much

Soak up with modern and vintage charm, Refresh109 is a fully remodelled home. Located at Launceston CBD area, the boutique hotel offers unique accommodation within the creative precinct of Launceston. Built in 19th century, the hotel is situated close to the end of quiet Cameron Street, where across Wellington Street. It is 1-minute away from Charles Street, and 5-minute away from George Street,
Perfectly located in a quite street. We walked everywhere (Launnie is flat). Parking out back is tight but there is paid parking in front. Beautifully furnished (ie it is not your usual hotel/motel room) and very comfortable. The hosts were delightful and very helpful. Mark was very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

My somewhat out of date GPS actually led me to the exact address of the Art Hotel. As I arrived after office hours I had to obtain my room key from a "safe box" but only found that by making a phone call to the owners who gave all relevant details. My big mistake was not to request, on booking, for a ground floor room. The Art Hotel is a nineteenth century building and has steep narrow stairs. If you're no longer youngish and strong (or your luggage isn't light) getting up them is like climbing Mt Everest. Once in the room it was elegantly furnished with what you need. The bed was soooo comfortable, it was easy to sleep late! The Art Hotel is only a few blocks from the city centre (and shops, if that's what you want/need). In the opposite direction is the Cataract Gorge, a great location to picnic or just wander through the park. There's on-ground parking, but I found it a bit squeezy as BIG SUVs filled their entire spaces. If you have a small vehicle and can manage it, take an end spot so you can get out of the car without damaging the paint on your or other vehicles.

Waterfront Hotel with a beautiful aspect overlooking the Prosser River and Maria Island. Bistro with meals served 7 days. Nearby safe swimming and swimming platform, boat ramp just 500 m, Children's playground adjacent, Golf course, Tennis and bowls all nearby. A selection of rooms to suit all budgets. Nice, clean family accommodation.
Everything! Lovely, modern decor. The king bed was super comfy, electric blanket was awesome, as were the bunks for the kids. Very clean. Crockery, cutlery, toaster & jug. Good aircon & TV. Lamps on both bedsides with double power points. Housekeeping came everyday. Fairly private. Great park for the kids & water / beach opposite room, lovely outlook. Great pub on site, meals were delicious & a great size! Great pathway along waterfront, nice walk, cafe along the way to grab a coffee & breaky overlooking the water. Good little deck. Parking at door. Great location, close to IGA, cafe's, post office & Triabunna close by. Nice drive to Wineglass bay & Freycinet national Park. Highly recommend! Thanks guys ?

A very convenient place but a little overpriced for what they provided. The mattress on the double bed definitely needs replacing or the base needs replacing. Husband had issues with his side of the bed slipping/collapsing from under him!! And my sheet kept disappearing through the night - no tuck in to hold it in place. In a place that families would stay and cater for themselves not having a dishwasher these days is not acceptable especially when paying the price we did. Shower extremely small and constantly drops no matter how hard you turn it off!! Size wise it was great but it’s the little things that can be annoying.

The best value heritage accomodation in Cygnet with TV's and tea/coffee facilities in every room, family friendly bistro and bars, modern cafe open all day for meals and coffee/snacks (all at budget prices). The closest hotel to the waterfront and waterside paths(only a two minutes stroll) right in the centre of town. Accomodation for $65pernight single, $85pernight double/twin all year round. Comprehensive bottle shop & off street parking.
Having visited 50 countries around the world we stopped off in Cygnet for dinner at the Commercial Hotel. The waitress was so welcoming and the seafood chowder blew me away. I thought the seafood at the wharf in San Francisco was good but this was on an other level. The base was so creamy and the mix of Tasmanian seafood was just perfect. My wife had a lamb roast that she was hanging out for, the lamb so tender and the local vegetable cooked to perfection. Having grown up in hotels and moving from place to place this proves that nothing beats a pub meal Well done.

Great service, nothing to much effort. Food was fab and served very quickly. Bar staff were great at recommending various drinks and food. Such a great vibe and the pub has some great historical memorabilia placed throughout

If you're thinking of going to Tasmania, definitely the place to stay. Just spent a week at Glenn Moore Accessible Units in Glenorchy. I'm a C4 quad in a large powerchair and had no dramas with space. For a two bed room unit it feels massive. Kitchen has everything you need and there is plenty of towels and linen etc...Didn't have to travel with any gear as the unit has shower chair, ceiling hoist and mobile hoist, beds tilt, so take your pick. Not my normal equipment, but easily manageable. Plus everything is super clean. Plenty of shops close by. Highly recommend a stay here for any wheelchair users. Special thank you to Carmel Clark for all her help while staying here. Do yourself a favour and check them out.
