Welcome to Botanica Bar and Restaurant Salamanca Hobart . Situated in a transformed Georgian Sandstone Warehouse, inspired by the beautiful surrounds and mystique of Salamanca, Botanica features the best of our local distilleries, breweries and delicacies
On our recent trip to Hobart we visited Botanica twice. Great wines...the house pinot gris and house pinot noir (Icon) were fab. Small plates shared included calamri, fat chips and aioli, popcorn chicken with chilli...all fresh, perfectly cooked and great flavours. We were there on a busy Friday night..table outside..lots happening, a great spot to people watch and enjoy a drink or two. Prices reasonable ...this one is a must in Salamanca!

I recently visited this establishment while on holiday and found the practice of substituting Makers Mark Bourbon with a poor quality tasteless product was rife. This practice is becoming more common as bars struggle to make a profit. Most patrons are oblivious to what they are drinking and wouldn't notice. This is a great spot but struggle to see how it will ever make money although I may have uncovered something.Hi Andre, Thank you for the review. We are very sorry you are so misinformed. We have not and would never substitute a product with another with the hope that we could deceive a customer for profit. What you have stated is slander and we will pursue legal action. A curious new restaurant on the Hobart waterfront...
We reserved a table at Peacock & Jones for 6 pm when the restaurant opened. The restaurant is well decorated with lighting on what looks like the original stone walls of the building. We chose to eat in the front room where it was not so cold and we sat at the end of the row of tables set against the wall. They have free wi-fi. We had Huon Valley pork with broccoli and a cheese plate for dessert. We also had a glass of Minton Iced Riesling, grateful that they had sweet dessert wines in the menu. The food and service were excellent, but the price was a bit higher than other restaurants in the area.Dear Staidthere,There's an ounce of right-place right-time for some of our team - like a lot of things in life, I suppose - to be able to point to such a revered and earnest dining space and say, "that's where I work." It beats looking at slate-grey walls lacking in character, in any case. Hopefully this translates to an experience worthy of the memory and we do try to match that with equally compelling food and service. Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to share your thoughts. The next time you're in the area, I hope the memory of the place is enough to compel you to return. All the best,Joshua.

Relax and fill up on seasonal treats, share plates, and house-made breads and pastries before or after delving down into the museumâs underworld. Sit inside or out, on the patio, or catch the sun on the grassâMoorilla or Moo Brew in-hand. You can also pee
I loved my jaffle that I ordered. I would have loved for there to be more menu options, but the jaffle and the wine were great
