We stopped in for a quick bite on a Saturday. It turns out that they don't bake on Saturday, so the usual selection of pies (which sounded terrific) was quite limited. Most ranged in price from $4-6. Our choices included a pizza pie, chicken & camembert, steak and mushroom. They were good, but not outstanding. The selection of baked goods was also fairly small, there were some leftover vanilla slices for only $1.50 from the previous day which was a good deal. Probably best to come here on a weekday rather than Saturday.

Great pizzas and hamburgers at this family owned business in little St Marys. Service was quick, the owners are friendly and helpful, and there is a great selection of food that is fresh and tasty.Highly recommended to all travellers wanting a really good meal.

After a friends recommendation to visit Mount Elephant Pancakes, we put this place on our itinerary. Overall, we were very disappointed with the quality of food. Previous media a year or two ago raves about this place and I feel as if something has happened. The menu has a good range of crepes / pancakes to choose from and we choose the Apple Crumble and Banana Swirl. The Banana Swirl tasted bland and the chocolate inside wasnât very nice. The Apple Crumble custard wasnât nice either. There are no eftpos facilities available and no ATM in site as itâs located about 10 mins out of town. Very limited telephone reception which makes bank transfers hard. I feel as if the cafe needs a breath of fresh air to revitalise it as there was / is potential!

Being from St. Helens this restaurant is somewhere we enjoy visiting, not only for the fabulous views and fantastic wines and beers but also for a relaxing dining experience. Today was not one of those days unfortunately... being Easter Monday we did make a booking and did realise it would be busy. We didnât expect only 3 staff to be running the extremely busy bar and restaurant and outdoor spaces for a huge amount of diners. We did not have a drink order taken at all so ordered our own twice at the bar, we did not have our food order taken for close to an hour after arrival as we were told they couldnât take anymore orders for some period of time! Why? Because the kitchen was understaffed also on Easter Monday? The restaurant although enjoying magnificent views of the coastal water also gets very hot and we had to ask for the roll down blinds to be lowered to block out the sun but also unfortunately the view too. After an hour and half I asked if the air conditioning could be turned on as we were both uncomfortably too hot and I could see many other customers red faced and feeling overheated too. The response was that no they couldnât turn on the air con as they were trying to cut costs!!!! This response was completely inappropriate when the restaurant was full of paying customers who would have been very grateful for a more comfortable dining experience! We eventually requested to move to an area out of the restaurant which was near an open door and far more tolerable. By this stage it had been over an hour and half since we arrived and although we ordered a platter to share as entree, our main courses arrived with no mention of the platter, only that it must have not been written down! No apology either! Our mains were the pork belly (which was actually roast pork) and the lamb rack. Both were generous and delicious and we did enjoy every mouthful, however by the time we finished eating it had been exactly 2 hours since we arrived! Very disappointed in the service (not the staffs fault entirely) and lack of organisation at one of our favourite restaurants on a notably very busy public holiday, and Iâm not sure if we will be back for quite a while as we found the experience quite unacceptable on this occasion
