All our meals cane with a very nice selection of vegetables, but a bit soft from being overcooked - broccoli, peas, beans, carrots and a creamy baked potato gratin type dish - which didn't taste the freshest. The grilled chicken breast unfortunately came up with blackened grill marks on it - could at least have been grilled on a cleaner grill plate. It was blackened from what I think was a well-used grill plate used for grilling everything. If it was steak I'm guessing the black sooty marks wouldn't show up as much as on white chicken breast, or if covered in a sauce it may have disguised the blackened surface a bit more - but it was over cooked and a little dry.The salt and pepper calamari was a little floury and have had better at a pub. The crumbed scallops were the best of the meals. It could have been so much better so it was disappointed.

Had a great time here on a recent Friday evening. I have no idea why two reviewers complained about bar staff and service, and the food being overpriced. I was polite and friendly to the bar staff and received excellent service in return. I ordered two meals almost at closing time, and received great food for a reasonable price. $15 for a meal is NOT overpriced !!!! I met a few of the locals, and then met a few more. Sheffield is a small town so I understand that those who call this RSL their local might be receiving a little more attention than the rest of us blow-ins. But that's what community clubs are all about, THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY!!! I was particularly grateful for Jamie's attention to detail, anytime my wife or myself wanted another drink he already knew our order and was fast to provide it. A great experience all 'round.
