Not a bad little restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient. Was just a bit disappointed by the limited lunch menu.Basically fish and chips, a burger or two and Toasted foccasias or salad. Thank goodness they do all day breakfast as well. What we had was ok. Wife had the Fish and chips with salad. Fish nice, chips were seasoned so tasty and well cooked but the salad was mostly just leaves with balsamic vinegar...My Grizzly (a big breakfast) was pretty good too.Tried a Tumeric Latte, it tasted "healthy" but an acquired taste I think! Was a good but not great experience.

We are very fortunate to have a supermarket/cafe like this on our doorstep in Tasmania. What an incredible supermarket to shop in. A bit like Waitrose in England. Certainly not your standard IGA store in Tasmania. Upon walking through the door the stunning fresh flowers and gifts are begging you to come look and buy. It's the kind of store you go into for 1 item and come out with lots. It is very tempting to stop off for a quick coffee after shopping.

We went here for a special treat the Wednesday after Easter.Arrived around 7:15 pm. We ordered our main course which was very nice. My husband went to look at the board for the dessert menu. He told me what he wanted & I went up to order only to find they stopped serving & closed the hatch. Apparently they stop serving food at 8 pm. Not one member of staff had told us this when we ordered our main, nor did they mention they were about to close to my husband when he went to look at the board. We were not the only ones either there were families & other diners in the same situation. Ended up walking down to McDonalds for an ice cream sundae. Not very good customer service in my opinion. Staff need to communicate to their patrons. It would have been nice if someone had said the kitchen was closing & asked if we would like anything else.

We keep an eye on the offerings at Drift as the menu is updated fairly frequently. We noted some intriguing new options and decided to give it a go when we had a free night to ourselves. I started with the Korean kimchi dumplings, while my wife chose the Thai fish cakes. Dumplings were crunchy and tasty but the fish cakes could've had a little more Thai spice flavouring. For mains I had the sous vide Lamb Rump with pea soubise, carrot and spiced beetroot jus. The dish was on the small side(especially compared to the Beef and Red Wine Ragu with papparedelle and parmesan my wife ordered). The lamb slightly chewy but the flavor was great. We shared a bottle of Kirrihill Cab Sav which was a really good match. The Ragu was more than my wife could accommodate but it was delicious. It can get a little noisy in Drift especially with large tables, so try to position yourself away from the noise near the bar or back of the restaurant.

The atmosphere was great, good service lovely outlook over the Spirit Of Tasmania. I enjoyed eggs Benny, which was eggs Benedict of course. It should be noted that there is no parking near the restaurant as it is waterside and the nearest parking is accross the road. So if anyone has limited mobility it is not convenient. The menu is a tad limited, lots of egg dishes which is more brekky food, nice though.

Glad we came here again. Was impressed last year and just as good this time. Wife had chicken and avocado with seasonal veges. When ordered didn't think to ask if had any mushrooms in. Wife is allergic to mushrooms, so they replaced it with another serve with salad and chips. Wife got a complimentary drink even though it wasn't really their fault. Bonus points for that.Waitress and chef both very pleasant and obliging. Grandson had small pizza with the lot and I had lamb pizza. Both delicious. Mains weren't cheap but pizza and pasta are ok price wise. Had a 25% entertainment discount which made it great value.Highly recommended.

Great location and fantastic freshly cooked food!!! We started with the Beetroot Salad and baked Tasmanian scallop gratin. Main course we had pan-fried salmon fillet with pesto risotto and pan fried Trevalla with a warm salad of dutch cream potatoes, peas, chorizo, harissa, lemon beurre blanc. All the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Service was efficient and friendly. We had booked a window seat, so we had a great view of the 'Spirit' departing for Melbourne.

My partner and I stopped in here for some lunch. Heaps of yummy things to chose from on the menu. We had trouble deciding. I had the Fried Chicken Burger and my partner had a quinoa chickpea falafel. See phots attached. My partner loved her meal. Regarding my burger, I wish it was just one piece of fried chicken fillet instead of 3 chicken strips. Still tasted good.
