A favorite among locals and tourists alike, Gutiz serves creative Latin-French cuisine at affordable prices.
Came in based on the reviews and must say the operations of the restaurant are a mess. Nice people, but a 55 mins wait on food from the kitchen even after waiting 20 mins for a table is just terribly slow. We had to get up twice to ask for more beverage and our check because our waitress disappeared. You had 2 people sitting at a table for 5-6 which made no sense, the AC is broken so itâs musty inside and there was no communication between servers which made the experience poor at best. Our order came and they forgot our sides of chile and at that point we spent almost 2 hours on a meal that should take 45 mins in total. Canât blame it on being busy, itâs just poorly run. Sadly a disappointing experience, ok food and not worth the visit if youâre from out of town. Maybe good service for the area but if Taos expects to get more tourism $$$ spent in town, some serious business and restaurant training is needed

Taos Mesa Brewing Town Tap Room features craft beer from our brewery and an inspired wood fired pizza menu! Prost!
We were lucky to find something decent open upon our late arrival to Taos, NM in August. Most places are fast food options. Taos Mesa Brewing has incredible pizza that is fire roasted so the crust is just perfectly thick/thin and slightly crunchy. My favorite style of pizza. The gourmet level options on the pizzas made our whole family very happy. We shared some grilled peppers for an appetizer and had some local brewed beer. The pizza is a bit costly but completely worth it. AND, we really appreciate them being open later than most Taos restaurants.

Doc Martin's Restaurant is an acclaimed dining establishment located in a registered historic landmark. A Taos tradition for locals and visitors alike, the warm ambiance of Doc's has been a gathering place since the 1920s and 30s. Our menu is a presentati
We enjoyed our dinner at Doc Martin's, especially our excellent server - who also filled us in on the building's history. (It turned out that we were eating in what had been Doc Martin's home.) The menu was extensive, and the food was quite good (although not quite the best that we enjoyed in Taos).Dear 598PhilC,Thank you for dining with us at Doc Martin's. I am happy to read that you enjoyed your dinner and our team shared the history of Doc Martin's. We look forward to you returning and trying some of our other menu items.Sincerely,Joe KendallGeneral ManagerDoc Martin's / Historic Taos Inn

Fine Dining Taos Style! We offer a wonderful selection of organic meats, locally grown salads, custom made desserts, and much more! Patio seating available. Large parties. Private party building. Catering. Dog Friendly Patio
Sit outside on the patio if the weather permits. That's the best way to experience the restaurant. The menu is outstanding with a full selection of appetizers, soups, salads and entrees. They all have small tweeks to make them uniquely New Mexico. They also have a full bar and small, but excellent wine list. They carry several Mew Mexico wines including a good sparkling wine. In addition to the regular menu, they have nightly specials. The night we were there they had a small plate of muscles cooked in a cream sauce with green chile and a creamy potato soup. We enjoyed both immensely. We both had the prime rib special, medium rare and medium, and were both happy with the way they were cooked. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening.

Just around the corner from Taos Plaza you will find The Lounge. The interior has three rooms for enjoying drinks and small plates. There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy watching the activities of Taosâ main road. The distillery is located a few miles south of The Lounge. Many of the drinks are influenced by local flavors such as the red or green chile infused vodka. The locavore platter we ordered was amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive. This is a great addition to the hub of Taos.
