Reviews on African food in Chefchaouen, Tangier-Tetouan Region, Morocco. This stunning Moroccan city in the Rif Mountains was originally built as a fortress in the 15th century. The mountains towering over Chefchaouen resemble a pair of goat’s horns, and, perhaps not coincidentally, the creamy native goat cheese is one of the most popular regional treats. Architecture enthusiasts will marvel at the Jewish-inspired blue-tinted buildings, octagonal mosque and Spanish ruins.

One of the two best restaurants in Chefchaouen and it was my second time there. Excellent food, service and prices. If you are very hungry you can have a menu - first, second course and desert in 3 different price relations, it is really worth it. So tasty food!My recommendation is beef tajine with dried fruits! Excellent!
Moroccan cuisine is much more than tagine and couscous - especially in Chefchaouen, where the restaurant scene is booming. Mouthwatering food with exotic spices aside, eating is a delightful experience in Xaouni Restaurant. Breakfast is set up in sun-dren
We fancied egg and chips, which they provided for us as a lunchtime snack. We returned for dinner and had two tagines which were tasty but not too spicy. As we were happy with our food we returned for all meals except breakfast. Service is friendly but a little slow - but we were on holiday. Opposite Mosque in main square and ideal for people watching. Made some super crepes with le.on and sugar..

The restaurant venue is adorable, a small place that fits three tables and decorated to feel like someone's home. The propiater is very jolly and makes a mean tagine. The menu is not extensive, but the meals we had were cooked perfectly and had a hearty home cooked quality. The value was astounding, with our meal for two (plus big bottle of water) costing just 67dirhams.

Galitoâs Restaurant is characterized by its unique characteristics in terms of quality in the food and the price of the task. We provide our customers with the best decor in Chefchaouen and the best foods only.
We enjoyed two salads and two fantastic ice creams which was very nice! The staff was very friendly but as the English was not good so it was a bit difficult to order and questions answered. But anyhow if you are looking for something ânon-Maroccanâ food, this address is a good alternative.

I was taken to Assaada by a local and considered that special experience. Locals always know the best (and the cheapest, non-touristy priced) places.Chicken couscous was delicious, the staff were friendly and rooftop with the sunshine was lovely. It was the cheapest place I've eaten in Morocco and as good and sometimes even better than some other places.

I like to write a review for this very nice new restaurant in Chefchaouen. We've been there twice during our travel in Morocco and it was really splendid. Please let me know as soon as I can submit a review. thanks
Large generous portion of couscous with chicken and veggies. Tangine chicken had a beautiful crust served with bread and fries. 3 course meals with lots of options for cheap! Appetizers we had were eggplant and Moroccan salad (think ceviche fresh) Group we were in had a good mix of dietary restrictions and were all accommodated. Abd Rahim was our server super nice!
