Reviews on Mediterranean food in Tetouan, Tangier-Tetouan Region, Morocco. Tétouan (Arabic: تطوان, Berber languages: ⵜⵉⵟⵟⴰⵡⵉⵏ, French: Tétouan, Spanish: Tetuán) is a city in northern Morocco. The Berber name means literally "the eyes" and figuratively "the water springs". Tétouan is one of the two major ports of Morocco on the Mediterranean Sea. It lies a few miles south of the Strait of Gibraltar, and about 60 km (40 mi) E.S.E. of Tangier. In the 2014 Moroccan census the city recorded a population of 380,787 inhabitants. Tétouan's civil airport Sania Ramel Airport is located 6 km (4 mi) to the east.
Things to do in Tetouan
New and big place in Tetouan, looks a bit fancy, but the prices are very good. Huge choice of different kind of breakfasts, cakes, full meal for lunch. Oud player playing all the time in the restaurant live even enhancing the atmosphere of oriental place. Everything we tasted was perfect and tasty. I can only recommend this place for breakfast, or just coffee and cake, and also probably the lunch food will be great. Tetouan itself is not much on the tourist map, and it a pity - its a very beautiful city, full of history, and place like this gives you a nice memory and good taste of sweetness. Perfect service!
Nothing to fear there . best place to eat clean and good service and quality food are good and juice too . delicious . i recommend
The best thing in that place is the outdoor seating area (on the backside). We enjoyed the nice ambience with the birds tweeting around us.We've been there for breakfast. It was good though portions were not enough. We wish the roof seating area was open for us as the view would have been amazing from top.Service was good and we liked the staff hospitality.
Surrounded by nature, restaurant Argovia is creating stylish simplicity within a contemporary, cozy setting on the half way between Tetouan and Mdiq. Tajines, seafood, barbecue and couscous specialities are prepared with passion. The panoramic view overlo
This is a nice and clean restaurant on the edge of Tetouan (near Martil) with lovely views, away from the hustle of the main road. Their menu offers snacks as well as main course food at very reasonable prices and excellent quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our lunch there and would wholly recommend this. It is not far from the main beach off the main road from Tetouan to Ceuta (Sebta), close by are 2 quad bike operators and a nature reserve with a large lake.
A new fast food restaurant with high quality standards and has also a great interior for the guests. Only fresh products!
I went here a couple of days ago. It is situated in a narrow street. So you must make an effort to find it. But once inside you are welcomed by an extremely friendly staff. The next thing you notice is the clean and spacious interiour. It felt like a Classic American diner. I ordered the chicken panini for lunch. It was full of taste and it was richly filled with chicken. The presentation was also nice. Thank you very much for your kind review. We hope we can welcome you again soon.

The restaurant offers a astonishing panoramic view on the lake. This is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy our delicious Morrocan specialties!
Now, Iâm not too sure if one will ever find this restaurant ranked #5 on tripadvisor because itâs in the middle of no where between Tangier and Chefchaouen. We found this place because we hired a guide for the day to Chefchaouen and it was one of the pit stops. We had our breakfast there. Very tasty. The views across the valley and lake is stunning. It makes you wonder how such natural beauty with its serene surroundings manage to cope with the times. But it was a good pit stop.

For fresh seafood, Esquina del Pescado is a good choice to eat in Tetouan.Located close to the centre of the city, it's decor reflects the theme of the sea in blue & white.Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient, from the floor staff to the chefs. You can view and choose your own seafood to be cooked as you wish, or as written on the menu. The variety offered is enough to satisfy, choice of salads very good, and the pre dinner snacks always delicious.

The food is very good and fresh. The menu is mainly Moroccan but serves more than the usual Tajine and Couscous (with several options for these). It is not cheap but the portions are really big and the food is delicious. Here I had my best Harira (excellent) and chicken Tajine in Morocco, apart from those made by friends in Marrakech. Service is excellent but one feels that they could be a bit more generous, like most restaurants in Morocco and offer free mint tea or small sweets, especially when the prices are rather high for Morocco. Another issue is having one toilet which has its entrance literally next to a table.
