We walked in on a Saturday evening and were greeted warmly. The choice of food was mainly pizzas, pasta and salads but there was one meat and one fish special, plus moules. I had a pizza norvegienne with generous quantities of smoked salmon, tuna, creme fraiche, and the usual cheese and a tomato paste base. My husband had the meat special: three types of meat grilled a la brochette, which was excellent. We had a decent sauvignon blanc in a 50 cl pichet. The choice of desserts was reasonable and we each had a goodly slice of fruit tart - apricot for me, lemon for him - which were delicious. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and the final bill pretty reasonable. All in all, we were very pleased with the meal.

This restaurant is pure class, starting with the view just beautiful and with an interior to match. We had the taster menu with wines at €115 and it was excellent. The chef here is very talented and his presentation is stunning. We are glad we did it for a one off. The only negative put we couldn't mark them down for is their lack of English, so didn't always know what we were eating.

Spent a week at a local holiday village, eating out each night. The Port area has some great restaurants but we went back to this every other night. The staff are friendly, helpful and happy to translate the menus. Fish is their speciality and we recommend the salmon, the turbot or the sea bream. Also we shared a Mediterranean salad (with warm goats cheese) and, on another night, the salad with gizzards ! Funnily enough, I asked about the chittling sausages but was told it was a special sausage and not popular with the English . . . Reasonable wine list, too, with low prices. Parking on streets nearby so not much walking.

Here is a venue full of originality its fashionable neobaroque décor plays, creating a dreamy atmosphere, along with the Terrace, a corner of paradise. But the best is the food, prepared by chef and his assistant, meals perfected using local produce, are examples of their culinary skills. Savour and enjoy their ''escallops of veal sweetbreads and morel mushrooms''.
Strange location on the front of a holiday camp-site next door to a pizza parlour but it works. Stylish interior and also outside tables. Free parking on the road and in the lay-bye outside.
Excellent menu, competitively priced. Attentive service, which is becoming unusual even in France

Superb restaurant great food and wonderful staff. Reasonably priced seafood, cooked to perfection. They served the best mussells in the area. Book a table if you are visiting in August as it is so popular. Excellent value 3 course menu for 19 euros. Well worth a visit

This place doesn't look like much from the street. The car park is down a steep slope. Inside it's smart and purple. The food is rather excellent, and decent value for money. We had the more expensive set menu, good choices, proper French cooking. Would...MoreDear Madam, Thank you for your comment. It's always a pleasure to read that our clients enjoyed our cooked and our restaurant. Hope to see you next time you will come to Vendée. Cordially. Mrs Pallaget

Lunch is €10.50 for four courses, with 'all-you-can-eat' buffet choices for starter, cheese and dessert, including 250ml of house wine.
We agree with the recent reviews posted, with regards to the quality, choice and freshness of the food, and had the pleasure of sitting in the quiet courtyard at the back, being served by friendly, helpful, attentive staff.
On a weekday it would be best to arrive early, as all the tables are filled very quickly!

Lovely setting, sit outside for a super view of the old castle. Very child friendly, speak some English, enough for you to order what you want. Very delicious pizza, cooked fresh, value for money too and friendly service. Lovely desserts and cheap 50cl house white wine, best pizza we had all holiday! Relaxed atmosphere.
