Reviews on Cafe food in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Translating to "Monday" in Tajik, Dushanbe was once a tiny mountain village known for its Monday market. Today that village has become a metropolis, but the Barakat covered market remains one of the most vibrant attractions in the city. Dushanbe's wide, tree-lined avenues are home to a number of monuments and museums, including the Unified Museum and the Museum of Antiquities, as well as a beautiful opera theater and myriad cafes and teahouses where visitors can sample Tajik sweets.

Come and try the first pizza in the style of New York in the heart of Dushanbe. Hot from pizza oven pies, also sold on slice. Your perfect choice for a quick lunch or family dinner. Free delivery available.
Was great to eat some good pizza while traveling. A good range of pizzas not just the standard ones which you normally get. Toppings were fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and spoke English perfectly. My only complaint ( if you can call it that) is the smallest pizza is still huge. When eating alone it was hard to finish...

This coffee lounge is located in the lobby of the Serena Hotel, an absolutely gorgeous place. There is a pastry cart where you can pick out the slice of cake you want and a server will bring it to you in the lounge area. Very comfortable seating with a great garden view. The black forest cake and cappuccino were delicious. If you are not staying at the hotel, the friendly staff will give you a tour of the building.

Where to eat American food in Dushanbe: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Not sure if this is a new cafe. Nice place and semi full but service is very poor. Lot of staff but seemed to be a new place with teething problems. Nice arty feel and look. Good Western menu with healthy and not so healthy options. Locals, families and foreigners. Female staff member not friendly at all. Some staff could speak English. Menu in English as well. Go to the counter to order. We had dinner and stopped here for a coffee and something sweet. We ordered Americano's and shared a pistachio cheesecake on display. Whilst you would expect this to come out quickly, after 20 minutes we were still waiting. I then asked the waiter and they had forgotten totally although we were sitting right in the middle in front of the counter! We had to remind him of the order and then quickly received our coffees and cake. Coffees were fine and cake OK, quite bland and could have done with more flavour and sweetness. Edible and pleasant but not great. Nice atmosphere to chill with light music. They need to sort the basics out and then they will be on to a good thing. I think a lot of people had the same issue on orders as they were asking where their orders were. In all fairness, there was an English speaking man who took our order and came to ask us if it was OK and said sorry for the delay. There are teething problems but once they get past it, should work well. Not sure what the food is like as we only had coffees and a cake. Reasonably priced and would recommend. Advertises wifi but we were told this did not work!
