You can eat very well—and very cheaply—in Taipei. The restaurants may not look posh, but the quality of the food is superlative. And there’s a huge variety of restaurants—in addition to local Taiwanese specialties, you’ll find regional cuisines from all over China, as well as great Indian, Japanese and even Italian options. Just make sure to leave some room for snacks—street-vendor food here is addictive.

538 Rooms, 45 Minutes To The Airport By Car, City Bus In Front Of The Hotel To The Airport In 90 Mins, Free Wireless Internet
I have nearly a million IHG Rewards points and thought I'd use the opportunity during an extended stay in Taipei to experience the Regent. Boy, was I disappointed! The Hardware: The hotel is really running on its restaurants and retail spaces. The neglect to the rooms is very, very visible. The hotel's common areas are updated, however, many of the rooms and floors are really, really dated, and musty. The sauna/spa (part of the health club) is also very, very dated/old-fashioned. t is very, very disappointing, and quite frankly, shameful to be part of Regent. The website is extremely misleading as to the facilities. Parking is limited, and management does nothing to address the situation. The parking attendant show extreme apathy towards staying guests who need to park. There is only one (1) tiny elevator that serves the 5 floors which are the parking floors, the retail shopping floors, and restaurants and lobby floors. That's just poor planning and management. The Software: Housekeeping staff is the best part about this hotel. The restaurant staff is efficient but impersonal. The front desk setup is extremely confusing. The staff does not care about your IHG Rewards elite status as I am a Spire Ambassador and was not treated as such. Definitely not the kind of service you'd expect from a "luxury" or "five-star" hotel.

Title says it all, affordable luxury. Hotels in Taipei can be really expensive with really small rooms. But this residence hotel doesn’t follow this trend. With low number of rooms in the property, the hotel able to maintain it’s quality of service and rooms and not asking for a premium rate. There’s even higher category with better room amenities if you wish to upgrade your stay (with Frette sheets). I was surprised with the room (mainly because of what I paid for) as compare to other hotels I’ve stay. This supposed to be only a budget stay, but turns out to be a decent one. The hotel apparently had won numerous of awards in the past. Overall room quality was good - love the shower and the tub! There were some spot which can be improve and probably refurbish like to include electronic curtains etc. Breakfast spread was decent here too - no frills. Would come back again if in the same area.

After two weeks in a government quarantine facility, spending a week at this hotel was a great relief. The staff were very kind and helpful, and certainly made me feel welcome. Rooms were clean and well-maintained, whilst free tea and coffee were also provided. Would most definitely recommend. 謝謝您們!

I stayed at Humble House for three week, for a work trip. After spending such a long time there, I do not understand how the hotel qualifies for five stars. I would grant it three. First off, the service provided at Humble House is poor, at best. Most of the staff barely speaks English, and it was hard to communicate on even very basic matters such as breakfast, or ordering a drink at the bar. Quite a few staff members were very rude and extremely unhelpful. In addition, Room service only starts at 7am and finishes at 11pm. In-between these times, it is impossible to get anything delivered to the room (the bar and restaurant are closed too), even a portion of fries, which is unheard of at a five starts hotel. I started work before 7am and finished after 11pm on a regular basis, and I would have expected the hotel to be able to provide at least some sort food. Finally, the facilities are alright and clean, but the AV equipment in the rooms is a little outdated. The pool is only opens from 9 to 12, 2 to 6 and 7 to 9pm - if you want to take a swim you are quite restricted. Not to mention that it is not allowed to bring any drinks or food at the pool, even a fruit juice, which is a shame. I tried to access the business centre and the staff told me I couldn’t, because their colleagues were already using it (since when are the guests not the priority?). Overall, I shall not stay again at Humble House if I am ever back in Taipei, and if you are expecting a five stars hotel experience, I would strongly suggest that you stay clear of it too.

Established in 1979, Taipei Cosmos Hotel is located right next to the M3 Exit of Taipei Main Station and has a great geological advantage as it is a transport hub where MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation), THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail), Taiwan Railway, bus, and public transportation meet. Dedicated in offering friendly, thoughtful and professional services for many years, Cosmos Hotel Taipei is preferred by international tourists and businessmen and a designated gathering place for many organizations and agencies with its stable and committed food and beverage quality. Tourists or businessmen will feel right at home while staying at the Cosmos Hotel Taipei.
I had booking for April 2020 and due to Covid19 and no flight going out. I had to cancelled my reservation in March. I got charged $425.73 for FEE and CHARGES. I have been asking for my refund which all the hotels in the world are being understanding and they are blaming it on Hotelbeds who are not taking calls. This is very dishonest and i didn't even get to stay at the hotel but I got charged. VERY disappointing when we are all going through this hard time.

I'd passed by this hotel many times as I've stayed in a different hotel in the neighborhood on previous trips. I finally decided to stay here as the prices were right for my trip. The room was spacious and clean and I appreciated the separate shower room and bathroom. There were plenty of channels available on the TV and the electronic safe gave me some peace of mind. I also had a good view of the main road from the shower and bathroom windows. The rooftop lounge area also offered great views of the neighborhood. That being said, there could be some improvements made. The biggest problem is the lack of soundproofing in the building. I had some fairly noisy guests in the room next to mine who I heard for two or three nights and people walking and talking in the halls can clearly be heard. Noise from the bathroom and shower pipes were also highly audible. I found one roach in my room but took care of it quickly. Thankfully I found no others for the rest of my nights there. Another problem were the dryers in the laundry area. One of them was not functioning properly and the ones that did were not strong enough so it took at least two hours to properly dry my clothes. Keep this in mind when washing clothes. Overall it was a good stay and it was nice being in a more spacious hotel than on my previous trips. However, the noise and laundry issues might keep me away for any extended stays.

Booked a room which cost me $250 USD a night. What I was assigned was perhaps the worse room in the entire hotel. I got the room right next to the elevators so heard people constantly passing me by AND I look out the big windows and see the building right across from me (about 10 meters away) also with big windows. They can look directly into my room. I had to keep my curtains closed at all times with the sheer 100% closed and the actual curtains 50% closed for privacy. Defeats the purpose of having a hotel room with big windows. To look out the window, because the room was so small, I had to climb over the ottoman sofa thing which isn't nice. The bathroom towels were heavily textured so it appears very rough. The restaurant was also poor. Sautéed spinach ended up being poached spinach. Service was also lacking. For $250 a night, I should have had a much better experience. Breakfast was also very sad. The room itself was nice and large but the options were lacking. A basic Holiday Inn would have more options. They displayed 10 boxes of cereal was the main attraction dotted with Mr Potato Heads which was weird. Their pancakes were silver dollar sized only and very super flat and started being made at 7:16 when breakfast started at 7am. No butter also! Only honey and jam and also had no serving tongs for the pancakes. The cook used his hands to serve me the pancakes (with gloves). Stay away from this hotel unless you pay up the nose for an actual room.

Booked the room online, and as always booked a double bed... I am with my partner!. Very easy to find hotel, dedicated elevators serve the hotel..... As it's in a multi use building. We arrived early and took a chance for early check-in, but unfortunately not available. Upon check in, we confirmed the double bed.... Got to the room, and find 2 single beds... ????????????? Asked reception, to only get response... So sorry no doubles available. About to loose the plot, when partner says it's OK..... No offer of discount! Now the room is extremely clean, basic supplies in the bathroom. Large room, with decent street view. The beds were comfortable. Easy access to nanjing fuxing station exit 2. 2 minute walk. Now, as we had been in and out during the day, nothing seemed out of place! But we came back around 10:30pm got out of tge elevator to what smells like wet dogs. Apart from that the hotel was good

Stayed at several hotels in Taipei before discovering Park Taipei. Since our first stay with the property, it became our go-to hotel whenever we go to Taipei. A clean business hotel with mostly everything you will need. On lean seasons, we were given room upgrade with 101 view. MRT just right outside. Offers free parking also which makes it so much more convenient. Back when there was still breakfast buffet, the options were a bit limited but good enough to start the day. Then Covid started, breakfast was removed but set lunch was offered— the meals were so delicious! When we went back in July though, lunch was no longer on the menu. Customer service is good. Highly recommend!

This got to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. As you arrive at the hotel the transfer pick-up that was arranged by the hotel was great. The person driving was extremely kind and he helped us to carry all our luggage and even offered to tour us around. The concierge is really kind, sadly I was not able to get the name. They were extremely accommodating. The interior of the hotel is so pretty and the rooms were comfortable and homey. The first day, the heater was working but the second day, it broke down and my mom had to ask someone to help us fix the heater. The staff was apologetic and gave us a new room to stay in and apologized for the inconvenience, and it was even an upgrade from our original room. He was willing to help and will do anything in order for us to have a memorable stay. He is one of the best staff that this hotel could have, The hotel also has a breakfast that comes with it and the food is phenomenal. The hotspot for breakfast every day is so good, the coffee tea duo is unbeatable. The place was extremely clean but it is self-service. There are staff to accommodate you if you need help, just a few walks there is a place that sells shaved ice dessert and it is soft and delicious. The hotel is also situated in an area where there are already a lot of shopping centers and around 10 minutes walk in order to go to the train station. The location is perfect and Taiwan is pretty small which taking the train is more than enough to explore the city.
