Changji (Chinese: 昌吉; pinyin: Chāngjí; Uyghur: سانجى, Санҗи, ULY: Sanji) is a county-level city situated about 40 km west of the state capital, Ürümqi in northern Xinjiang, China, and has about 390,000 inhabitants.
