Shiraz (/ʃiːˈrɑːz/ ( listen); (Persian: شیراز), Šīrāz, Persian pronunciation: [ʃiːˈrɒːz], pronunciation (help·info)) is the fifth-most-populous city of Iran and the capital of Fars Province (Old Persian as Pars).
