Fredericia (Danish pronunciation: [fʁɛðəˈʁɛɕa, fʁɛðəˈʁɛdɕa]) is a town located in Fredericia municipality in the southeastern part of the Jutland peninsula in Denmark, in a sub-region also known as Trekantsområdet (the Triangle Area). It was founded in 1650 by Frederick III, after whom it was named.
