Makhachkala (Russian: Махачкала, IPA: [məxətɕkɐˈɫa]; Kumyk: Анжи-кала; Lak: Гьанжи; Avar: МахӀачхъала; Lezgian: Магьачкъала; Rutul: МахаӀчкала) is the capital city of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia.
