Reviewed By Ruth TI had checked out google earth before we left home, so I knew where I was going...otherwise I might have convinced myself that the dirt track wasn't going to lead anywhere, but we arrived safely at Campo de Reyes. David and his dogs greeted us warmly and showed us around the communal areas - a great snack bar, with wifi and a good selection of food and drinks (and very welcome ice creams), a camp kitchen, and the eco-friendly bathrooms (I was fascinated by the toilet), before taking us into our yurt - which was huge but seemed very dark (David explained that there was a cover over the skylight as a storm was coming). Because there was no natural light coming in, and the bed and pillows were SO comfortable, we actually dozed off almost as soon as we arrived (late afternoon), only to be awoken by the most terrific thunder storm - rain hammered down but we stayed cosy and dry. Once the storm passed and David removed the (external) cover, natural light flooded into the yurt and we could fully appreciate it's wonderful construction. We strolled around the site in the evening sun, enjoying the views and the atmosphere, and a beer in the snack bar, playing with the dogs, falling in love with the kitten that had been rescued from a bin when he was three weeks old, and watching the goat wind the dogs up and then seek refuge on the back of the pony...it was an unforgettable experience! We slept fantastically well, and enjoyed a tasty breakfast before heading off back down the dusty trail into Tafalla. This isn't just glamping, it's eco-tourism...David is evidently passionate the environment and his surroundings - he was keen to tell us the most beautiful route to take to Bilbao, and all the things we could see in the area, if only we had time - he appears to be living his dream, and I would encourage everyone to go and try yurt-dwelling with him, it might change your life!

Reviewed By PoisonDwarfBedroom was modern in design with a good bathroom but can't comment on food or service as didn't eat or drink in the hotel. There is ample free parking nearby and it's a 10 minute walk into the town where there are a few restaurants/bars

Very well priced, welcoming hotel with secure Motorcycle parking
Reviewed By ABrad94My friend suggested we stay here as he has a relative who recommended it. The price was cheap so I had my reservations, but these were quickly washed away when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcomed us in. They let us park our motorbikes on the gated patio at the back which was very helpful as it made it significantly more secure. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, albeit with little noise insulation from adjoining rooms and corridors. It was a short 5 minute walk from the hotel to the town centre and the staff recommended a lovely restaurant/bar for us which turned out to be very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again!

Reviewed By dandan17Whilst staying here , we tried the hotel restaurant Lovely choices of snacking or a la carte menu Ask for the menu in English Nice friendly quick service Staff do not speak English, but this was not a problem Drinks included in the €10 menu include a free bottle of nice locally produced white or red wine Very nice service.

Reviewed By Eero KWe had to change our travel plans and arrived without prior notice to Hotel Beratxa. The man in charge helped us to find parking, showed us the rooms before we decided to stay, organized everything and advised us. Our room was big and comfortable. Breakfast was personalized and service great. When in Tafalla check this out.

Necesita un nuevo sofá cama
Reviewed By mahermo02El apartamento tiene muy buena ubicación. El problema que tuvimos fueron las camas, la de matrimonio no era mala del todo, pero el sofá cama era muy incómodo. Tuvimos que alternarnos para dormir en él y poner edredones y mantas dobladas que había en el armario encima del colchón.
