Mulato is synonymous with mixture, color and flavor. It has a lot of history and characters that have transcended over time. Our employer is one of the first mulattos in Peru: San MartÃn de Porras, a character who managed to gather a dog, cat and pericot,
My wife and I wanted to try Mulato Restomar because we had never tried it. We were pleasantly surprised. I am a vegetarian. The restaurant prepared Tallarines Verdes with pesto sauce for me even though it was not on the menu. The pesto sauce was probably the best tasting pesto I have ever eaten. They also gave us a small bowl of Huancaina sauce to try. It was delicious. The kitchen is located so that you can see the cooks work. I counted seven cooks. They all had hair nets. That reassured me that my food was sanitary. On my next visit I want to try their Fettuccini a la Huancaina.

Just a short taxi ride from the bus terminal. Open earlier than most others and the service is perfectly wonderful in this airy restaurant with classic Peruvian plates!
We shared Chicharron de Pescado, Ceviche Mixto and the Pork Ribs! Each dish was beautiful. And the serice was excellent inspite there being many hungry families in multiple dining rooms! The beer was cold, cold and the Pisco Sours were perfect accompaniment & served by the pitcher! - http://www.laglorietatacna.com/

I just spent a day in Tacna and I really wanted to have the Perú food experience. Woowwww... the restaurant was very good. It's located close to the municipal market. The place is very good. I had one DELICIOUS cevice.. so good... so good... I definitely recommend.

Great service, great cebiches, great drinks (that came for with the lunch). Not many restaurants in Tacna and we were happy to have found it! Would definitely come back for a cebiche. After we finished they offered to call us a cab since we were going to the airport and the bus station (we split).

First and last time a this restaurant. I have been in the seafood business for 36 years and this was one of my worst experiences ñ. Food had nice presentation but no flavor and poor quality. Service was horrible. Also be very careful when you pay with a credit card. They add 15% without telling you. Very poor experience. Would never return again.
