Reviewed By nearus22Booked Summit for the second time because of an excellent experience during our 1st visit. But I guess this will be our last and we’ll explore other hotels in Tacloban. I booked the same room but our room during our 2nd visit was smaller and had a smaller bathroom. The hotel staffs were not as much accommodating and warm as our first. (Our first visit was last April) Out hotel-airport transport was a bit late (though the service provider was independent of the hotel).

Good service, water facilities/drain problematic
Reviewed By biztrekI really wanted to like this hotel. It’s near the airport, junior suites gives you a living room and you can close your bed room door for privacy. Non-suites have bedrooms and private restrooms but shared living rooms with other 2 rooms. There’s no cafe or resto, it’s plated breakfast served in your room. Service is fast and friendly. Receptionists are super stars, and housekeeping staff are helpful and efficient. Beds and pillows we’re comfortable, and the hotel design was nice. Cons though are - smelly drain/sewage, aircon at full blast and it was still warm, WiFi is slow but tolerable, Globe signal weak, you need to take a tricycle 10-15 minutes away to get to a good resto, water heater adequate but not fully functioning, they ran out of replacement towels and linens on our second night, I had to request for toilet paper and complimentary water for the second day. Overall, it’s an adequate hotel but needs facilities maintenance and better supplies. They lucked out on their staff as they are really amazing, intelligent, efficient, and dependable.

Reviewed By Niko_staCentral located, very clean hotel. Service was ordinary nothing outstanding. Deluxe room had no refrigerator, no safe deposit box in order or no umbrella what is an important item in the rainy atmosphere of Tacloban. Aircon was silent and powerful. Breakfast, simple but tasty.

Our Hotel cater more for comfort. We have spacious room and also bathroom. We have Bellas Cafe for our in-house guests and outside guests too. We also have Dude's bar for people who wants to unwind and have a little get together with friends. We also have a function room for intimate gathering.
Horrible sent defuser in lobby!!

I do have to say, they have a sent defuser in the lobby that is so strong I went to sleep at night smelling like it. I don’t remember it form my last two stays. It was so strong I basically ran to the elevator each time I walked in. It was like walking past an .Abercrombie store!!

The front desk staff was not polite,their is a staff that recommend us a ride(taxi) van that is too high price 2k pesos per ride .we ask for room clean up then we came back the room was stincky ,the bath room was too small, the WORST part was we ask if their is hot water shower and the front desk said yes but only to find out it wasnt working for our entire stay for 8nights they always promise that they will fix it or even upgrade our room stay but never happened . The room was noisy for it was by the highway side. The curtain also doesn’t cover the street light the disturbed our sleeping nights .Worst stay never be comming back for a stay.

Reviewed By reynagacityThe hotel is located in the city center which for me is A1. Rooms were ok, with fast lift, friendly staff, free breakfast, cable tv, wifi, phone, clean sheets w new towels, w toothbrush, paste but the bathroom has NO bidet-very bad!

Clean new hotel with good rates but awkward location
Reviewed By Holy_InnocentStayed one night and all was mostly good. It is a new place so all is fresh, clean and on the modern side. There is a sort of kitchenette area with a sink and cupboards (but oddly the upper doors have no glass or plastic so the 'doors' are only cosmetic) but there isn't any fridge or cooktop. There is a decent TV with decent choice of channels and a work or eating table with 3 cheap (uncomfortable) chairs. There is also a large wardrobe to put clothes and stuff. The bathroom is small but the shower is a good size. They serve breakfast to your room which is the same for everyone (including rice and 1 fried egg) but a choice of meat to go with it and coffee (actually only 3-in-1 unfortunately ... not even regular instant coffee) or tea. The WI-FI sucked badly, cutting in and out and poor quality. The biggest issue was the bad road leading up to the property and the good concrete parking lot in front of the hotel. It was raining quite a bit the day of my arrival and the next morning as well ... for about 100 or 200 meters, the small lane which leads to the hotel entrance was flooded and I had to leave earlier than I wanted to make sure I was not stranded due to the water in the laneway. That short stretch needs to be fixed up by the municipality badly especially odd how the laneway is good at first then the pavement abruptly stops into this mess for those few meters. Overall the location is also awkward unless you have your own wheels (car) and don't mind being some distance from town.
