A couple years ago we were in the antique shop next door and peeked into the restaurant. The owner was so nice and offered us a free plate to try his food. We declined but said that we would be back. It took a while, but I finally kept my promise. I had lunch on Tuesday, when driving through. The service was prompt and I had the buffet. The salad bar was fully stocked and had an assortment of plates and bowls. It was ok. The food buffet had pizza, ravioli, chicken and dumplings, wings, mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. The pizza with red sauce was pretty good. The chicken and dumplings were unlike anything that I am familiar with. More of a casserole with biscuit discs. The ravioli was not made in house and had a ton of cheese. Over all it just wasn't my bag, but the owner is nice and I may be back. The price with a tea was $13 so with a tip, $16. Kind of pricey, but the tea was $2.29.

I had not been to a Dairy Queen in a long time. However, it was lunch time. I was immediately impressed by the friendliness of the staff. There were a good number of people in the restaurant and it had a good atmosphere overall. The vanilla cone I had reminded me that DQ still does them the best.

The house is charming and the service was as attentive as it could be considering there were only two waitresses. The food was plentiful and okay. Our crab cakes were more bread crumbs than crab but tasted delicious. The experience was delightful even though the food may have been lacking in taste. Probably should have gotten the filet mignon which another guest ordered!

Arrived at 4, very few folks and by 5 when we left they were pouring in on a Friday. Great food, the chili rellanos were very fresh, as was the salad. My wife had a beef taco and part of mine. Very generous quantities. Couple this with a Tecate, coffe and a small Margarita all for under $25 plus tip....a wonderful treat! Good service and no room for dessert. You won't be disappointed!

I only had lunch here, but it was very good. They offer a full menu and a soup and salad bar that was very good with lots of options. Price was fair, service was great, and the atmosphere was very casual but nice.

The best barbeque in the South. Started in Sylacauga, and now in Pell City, Alexander City, Wedowee and Chelsea.
This place doesn't look like much. It's in a gas station and there's very little seating. But you'll have a hard time finding better barbecue. They also have great hand-patted burgers, hamburger steaks and my favorite- smoked wings. They also have the best sweet tea in town. The prices are very reasonable as well.

No longer the Wolves Den, called Lori Darlins. Parking is adequate. Facility very clean but compact. Associates are friendly. Menu typical of BBQ place. Order like a fast foods but then you have option to sit. The food was hot and tasty. Chicken Livers not bad. Good value.

The prices are fair. They have expanded the menu. The rice is good. The meat and seasoning is very bland. Carne assada? Ha! Thats what you called that? Exactly how long was it marinated? 20 minutes? And with what? Water? Mexican joints in Alabama lack major components in contrast to California. Bieng spoiled in that aspect this is par for a par course.

Found them just by accident when traveling thru Sylacauga back to Birmingham. I'm just sorry they have been cooking 20 years and I didn't know it. Great service, friendly people, met Miss Faye. Selections were as big as I've seen. Daily specials and if you can name a veggie, they have it. Pies are great too.

We were out in Sylacauga and decided to stop for lunch at this deli. The server/cashier was a sweet girl who made good recommendations. They have a good variety, and the sandwiches are tailor made. They are just sandwiches, so don't go expecting something unusual, but they were good.
