I arrived at 9pm just as the restaurant had emptied, but I was welcomed inside as the sole guest. The lamb souvlaki was incredible, the staff were friendly and did not try to rush me. Will definitely return and try the rest of the menu over a long lunch, dinner or both. Highly recommended. Thanks Tom so glad you just got in and could enjoy some lamb - hope to see you back soon

Really enjoyed our meal here. All dishes were very tasty and the lamb dishes were tender and delicious. Not normally a fan of the dips but these were very nice. All wines are Greek so it was great to try something quite different. Service was friendly and efficient, and they don't oversell. Would be happy to go there again

What a brilliant venue.Been to Greece! This is so authentic! If you love Greek food this is the venue. Great food, great service, terrific wine. We had the lamb, the Moussaka and the Greek wine. Superb! Could not have had a better night!

We chose Kafenes as a convenient option prior to a show at the Enmore Theatre. We explained we needed to be out by 7.30pm and the staff ensured we were. The food was plentiful and good with a wide range of options. The staff were efficient and friendly which made for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. A great option if you're going to a show at the Enmore Theatre which is just across the road.

If you despise Middle Eastern Food, you should still try this restaurant. Yes, we had a voucher which allowed us to share five different aspects of the menu: bites, smalls, bigs, sides and desert. This strategy turned out to be optimal as it allowed as a real range of what the restaurant could produce. For the bites, you would be foolish to pass up the pita bread with a dip. (Actually I could have continued to order pita bread and work my way through all available dips.) The pita bread comes hot out of the oven, light and flaky. The smoked eggplant dip was delicious with not a hint of the unpleasant aftertaste featured by inferior dips. A side of wood fire green beans was a surprise since this is often a humble vegetable for a good reason. But my biggest surprise came with dessert. Given the option, I never order dessert. I am bereft of anything resembling a sweet tooth. But the recommended ricotta and rhubarb came as a shock. Nothing cloying sweet about it, simply a lovely way to end the meal. Actually every course far exceeded my expectations. I should also commend the service which was extremely helpful and efficient. Go for a long lunch or dinner. If you are disappointed, think about giving up food.

We couldnât decide where to eat so looked online, last minute (HD) this restaurant had great reviews ...... and they were true. The food was delicious, not overly expensive and the staff were all smiling and attentive but not overbearing (which can sometimes ruin an experience). We had grilled haloumi, spanakopita, grilled prawns and Greek salad and every single dish was a smash! The menu is small but has enough options .... if you know Greek menus they can be like a novel. I canât recommend this place enough ..... if you have the chance, go.

i ended up dining at this restaurant by chance and it was a great experience: typical home made greek food but also very friendly staff and an amazing owner lady who came to chat after service.

The food here was amazing. I came here with friends without really knowing what to expect, we were by no way disappointed. We chose the banquet, I should call it a feast because there was an abundance of food, as well as a visual & taste delight. OMG, OMG, OMG was the common catch phrase as each dish was brought out & increased in intensity with each mouthful. The price was also quite reasonable with respect to the quality & quantity. The decor was conducive to conversation & the staff attentive. A definite must place to eat.
