What a fabulous restaurant. The ambience is calmness personified and the food is about flavour and quality without an unnecessary level of ingredients or fussiness. We had their lunch menus which was about £65 for three courses or £80 for four courses. After the superb amuse bouche we were treated to a wonderful yellow fin tuna starter and then the absolute star of the show,,,,cavatelli and sea food that had superb flavour and texture.... a dream dish. And so we went on to a wonderful cod dish and then there was even home made meaux cheese. The wine list was excellent, particularly for the wonderful Swiss whites and service was friendly and highly professional. We left highly contented and well fed but not at all bloated......always the give away sign of well cooked and well balanced food. Without doubt one is in wonderful hands at the cesery and it was a great privilege to have eaten there.

Visited this (hotel) restaurant twice. Food is good, service a bit slow but correct. Sadly the Manager is truly rude and lacks common politeness. Abnoxious, barks back at questions and treats guests condescendingly. We thought it was a one time accident but twice ... We will never go back again!

It was a cool summer evening, we decided to eat inside instead of on the cobbled street just outside the hotel. Decided against the fondue, which some others seemed to be enjoying. Salad with mountain cheese and escargots for starters, brilliant. The cheese is special. Mains of steak and fish, both done perfectly. Lastly dessert to share, of summer berries with cream, rounded the meal off very nicely. Have no hesitation is recommending this restaurant and would definitely return on our next stay in Gstaad.

Some friends rented the restaurant out for a group dinner. I had never been there and I liked the food (tuna sashimi and veal with mushrooms) and the management-owners were very fun. They put music for us and we danced in the room next door to the dining room. The service was excellent.

The mountain restaurant on the saddle between the limestone pillars of Mt. Rüeblihorn and La Videmanette offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Bernese and Vaud Alps. It has a fabulous sun terrace and Alpine flair. The cosy restaurant at an altitude of
To start with the positive points: amazing view, sunny terrace and nice & helpful staff. Then I've received the food I had ordered. The croûte aux champignons was so industrial, you could tell even before tasting! The mushroom sauce was slimy as if made with gelatin. I couldn't tell if I was munching a mushroom or a piece of bread as the texture and taste were just the same. I don't ever want to know what this sauce was made of. I was so disgusted by this dish that I managed to eat only a quarter of it... It was a good thing that I had ordered a small mixed salad on the side as this was more eatable (of course industrial too, but I've had worse in terms of salads) and I was starving. Add a soda and this awful meal cost 42.-!Things got worse after, as I have spent part of the next night vomiting and sick during the following day...!!! Simply an expensive food poisoning. I cannot even imagine my state had I finished my plate like my parents taught me to.Health control should pay a visit up there. Conclusion: go there, enjoy the wonderful view, have a drink, but don't even try their dishes! Get a bag of crisps: it'll be surprisingly healthier than whatever comes out of this so-called "restaurant"'s kitchen.

the restaurant "Le Roc" offers cuisine based on local and seasonal products, fine and close to nature. The elegant wooded room can accommodate 55 guests, in good weather, you will enjoy the terrace facing the castle, the alpine farms and the enchanting la
My husband arranged a surprise birthday dinner for me with the F&B team and everything was executed to perfection. The surprise dinner prepared by the Chef was excellent and the service team was professional, intuitive and 'on the ball'. A must-try is the 'moules et frites', homemade thickly cut French fries fried with beef fat served with a large serving of moules steamed with beer and fresh herbs. There were many dishes that were outstanding: duck with a raspberry sauce and double baked potatoes, goat cheese salad, a steamed lobster dish served with spinach that was amazing, and a heavenly pavlova with berries. Prices were reasonable and the servings were generous. We're already looking forward to being back! A kids menu would be a good idea to introduce as we'd like to bring our child along for a family meal. Kudos to the team for a memorable dining experience!

Pricey, but worth every centime. The meat is out of this world, and the views are divine. Good service and dog friendly.

What a find in Saanen! Hidden away, this gorgeous restaurant is worth seeking out. Book early as I think itâs a well-guarded secret of the locals! For good reason! On a lovely, warm Summer evening we sat outside on the veranda, surrounded by beautiful flowers and candles. The menu was unique, presented in a bound book, each day showing a new menu sourcing the freshest ingredients. Each meal we had was beautifully presented and faultless. Our table chose a range of salads and the mussels for entree and for the mains the trout was delicious and the beef cheeks divine. The wine list was extensive and we enjoyed some beautiful Swiss wines. Totally recommend this place! It was the best meal of our week in Saanen/Gstaad. DEAR GUEST, What a wonderful comment you have posted! We are truly blessed and would like to express our sincere thaks. It is always great if our guests can feel the vibe, the passion and that everything we do and deliver is made with love. The garden is just stunning at the moment you are travelling at the most wonderful season of the year with all the roses and blossoms accompagnied by this lovely smell all over.We hope welcoming you back soon for another tasty meal with beautiful Swiss wines. All the best and see you soon!

First visit in 1970 at the beginning of ski season, and local ski instructors were yodeling and singing during their dinner, for their enjoyment and ours. Wonderful! Excellent fondues and raclette (have an order of Bündnerfleisch [local air-dried beef] with the raclette), as well as other well prepared Swiss meals. All in a beautiful, very early Chalet, served in two very old carved wood panel rooms, with original antique tables, chairs, etc..
