This place is awful. Everything about it is awful. At the summit of the Moleson, which is really lovely, you will find a badly-run, chaotic, place that is as cold and unfriendly as any place in my recent memory. The system that they've put in place (order with the cashier, then get number, and then wait an eternity to be served) is a farce. The waiting staff spends half their time searching for number 52 while your food gets cold. But that doesn't really seem to matter since most of their menu is reheated, industrial stuff like stone hard nuggets and McCain fries for the kiddies. On top of all that, the decor is non-existent (not one painting or mural anywhere - just blank walls), and to top it off, in a place catering to tourists, everything is written in French only. The room is full of Swiss Germans and Anglophiles and they haven't even taken that into consideration. The staff of this place and the office of tourism in Moleson Village should be ashamed of what's going on up there. So if you go up to admire the view, have a drink but forget the food.

GRUYERE TRADITIONS Nestled in the heart of the medieval village of Gruyères, Gruyère Traditions is a living place "anchored in the past and turned towards the future" where cheese products are born, then offered for tasting. A place of retreat which aims
We decided to share fondue amongst 4 persons. It was heaven. I thoroughly enjoyed the taste of the cheeses with the brandy. They provided bread, Gurken pickles, pickled onions and an order of dried meat. It was so delectable. I highly recommend stopping and having lunch.

Restaurant familial tenu depuis 1977 par la famille Ruffieux avec comme spécialité, la viande sur granit. Soyez les bienvenus à la Croix Blanche !
My husband enjoyed the fondue I had the creamed mushroomswith pasta. Have a little bit of a language barrier as no one really spoke English. But the menu has everything in English so you just point and it's worth it.Dear Christina,Many thanks for your kind words. We are glad that you and your husband have a good experience at our restaurant :-)Good to hear that even though no one spoke english that day you found your menu !Enjoy your trip in Switzerland !

Nice restaurant with a lot of cheese and country specialities. Terrace with view to the castle and the mountains.
I havenât had any good food in Switzerland, so I canât really hold it against the restaurant if the Swiss cuisine is bland. I did however order the Swiss âtypical menuâ which included quiche to start, a slab of ham with one piece of fatty bacon and 2 tiny round slices of sausage which was the best part, all atop boiled unseasoned cabbage and 2 fingerling potatoes boiled also unseasoned . The desert was okay a meringue a tiny creamer brûlée and about 8 raspberries with a delicious cream. All for $38 chf plus the rivella. Service was very good though, even though I was quite surprised the waitress asked for a tip. Maybe you should try another restaurant in town that owns a spice rack.

On a short day trip through the Gruyère region, we landed upon recommendation at the terrasse of the Moléson fromagerie restaurant !We've tried their assiette Gruyèrienne, a sample of sausages, ham and 2 home made cheese and for dessert a meringue with double cream with red Forrest berries. The size of their serving is ridiculously small !In the contrary, The price for an simple mountain restaurant meal is astronomic !!Very deceiving to be taken as simple tourist pigeon !We'll definitively not return nor recommend this place !!

Poetic charm The Auberge de la Halle exudes warmth and conviviality. It boasts a wood panelled dining room, an intimate function room (which seats 40) on the first floor, a sunny veranda and a small terrace facing on to the pedestrian-only cobbled street.
Came here for dinner, staying in Gruyeres. The place is warm and service is very good. Typical Swiss flavors and menu, and a bit pricy for USA standards but what can you expect? Fondue came with bread and potatoes, and a couple sweet pickles. Potatoes were perfectly cooked (boiled). I ordered spaghetti Bolognese which was good (only so much Fondue a person can eat), and we all enjoyed salads beforehand. Kids ordered the hamburger (nothing special), and the soft drinks and Romanette lemonade (as with all of Switzerland) weren't worth the cost at 4.50CHF for a 33CL bottle. Stick with water, or tap water (it's the Alps!)Merci

I went to this restaurant for lunch and was most pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The business lunch is great value for money. I strongly recommend this place. Make sure you book your table in advance.

Good rosti. Ok raclette (good cheese but ridiculously small serving). VERY BAD pizza from the kids menu. And slow unattentive service. Not recommended.
