These are the words that hound me when I think of this hotel.Full of mosquitoes-no provision of mosquito repellents. There are no fans or air cons-so incase u shut your windows n doors to escape mosquitoes,u can't sleep cos of heat n humidity.Morning breakfast had flies all over.it looked dirty-we avoided it.also, the staff was very rude to some Asian travelers.it leaves a very bad taste....esp when u need to be humble n courteous in a property like this &Faldo not forget that you are working for a service industry.

Imagine being able to arrive at your hotel/restaurant across the lake. Restaurant and Strandhotel Seeblick is within a hundred meters of the ferry stop at Faulensee. The lake views are amazing, so is the food. This place has a long legacy of family values that have been transferred to the new owners. Its a great place to eat and a great place to stay.

On yet another road trip we happened across this lovely restaurant on our return journey. The setting was perfect and the ambience was good in the restaurant - the view was also wonderful. We ordered Tortellini alla panna and a proscuitto salad (prosciutto di parma). They were both lovely and arrived quickly.Highly recommended.

This classically elegant Art Nouveau restaurant celebrates sophisticated hospitality. Whether it is a stylish lunch in an elegant atmosphere or a romantic evening dinner by candlelight â the Belle Epoque is the restaurant for dining in style at Hotel Eden
We stopped here a few days ago for a cup of coffee. The coffee was the best we found in Switzerland but not as good as home (Australia)...but we didn't go the Switzerland for coffee. The waitress, suggested if we wanted something special that the cakes were excellent and the cherry cake was the most popular. We shared one (it was close to dinner time elsewhere) and it was indeed sensational, and I'd highly recommend trying it. The atmosphere at Belle Epoque was warm and interesting.

Excellent location just above the lake, with panorama window. Ample parking available, can also be reached with the local bus no.65 from Spiez. ("Möve") Very quiet on a Saturday at midday. Good food, good service, middle price category.

We stopped here for a quick break on our journey to Grindelwald and couldn't have picked a better start to our short vacation.Directly located on Thuner See, we found a nice table by the lake. The Nüssli Salad with roasted Chanterelles was delicious! Service was very good and we were sorry to have to leave this place so soon.

There's probably hard to find anymore touristy restaurant in Spiez. That said, for being what would typically be a real tourist trap it certainly exceeds expectations. Service is somewhat slow and the waiters are not that knowledgeable, as you would expect for a normal tourist trap, however the food and the atmosphere are actually good!I started with a beer (the standard one they have in spiez, which is a quite boring beer) and the Mozarrela and tomato entrance. This is hard to fail with and it was also quite good. For main I had their giant, spicy prawns which turned out to be the hit of the night. Certainly recommended if you like spicy food! To it I had a glas of rather good rosé.To wrap up I had their assortion of cheeses (I would have liked some kind of presentation of them and I would replace the sliced apples with pears) with a glas of port wine. The waiter had no idea of what ports they had, but it was a rather lack luster tawney. All cheeses where good though. If you're to choose a tourist trap this is certainly recommended. Dear JanB420 customer, thank you very much for your feedback. We are a restaurant that we try to do everything for our customers !! What I do not agree with is that we are a trap and we are not because 90% of our customers are Swiss of course the tourists they are welcome as well !!! Thanks for your visit!! greetings Vitor Silva
