Staying at the Hotel Splendid a few doors away, this seemed the perfect choice given the reviews on TAWe visited at 19.00 on a Friday evening without a reservation. Just got one of the last two tables for two, with the other filling moments later.Despite a full restaurant, ample serving staff kept on top of orders and service was pleasant if not a little functional.By UK Italian standards, this place was expensive (then everywhere is in Switzerland). We enjoyed a really nice shared Bruschetta to start at CHF14.00. Expensive when you consider thatâs about GBP11. However it was a massive portion of four pieces, with two slices each being more than an adequate starter. For mains we ordered a Pizza Jardinier at CHF24.50 and Calazone at CHF25.00. £20 each for a pizza by UK standards! But, this was Swiss pricing not the restaurant over charging.Top quality for both choices with the Calazone being on the large sizeWith two beers the bill came to CHF78.50.The price aside, good food and service in a pleasing environment. Would visit again if we returned to Montreux.

Had lunch with friends outside on the terrace overlooking lake Geneva. Food and service was good. Selection of wine not very good. The rose wine we wanted they didn't have and were given an inferior Swiss one. The fish we wanted they ran out off .On the whole a food experience. I recommend the place.

Travelling through Europe with a friend with a food and wine focus. This was the third Italian restaurant we have tried in three nights. Without any exaggeration, it has been the best experience. Great food, great venue location, and great service. Sandro advised us on a very good wine which, over the last week since being in Europe, had to be the best red wine so far. Pauline from France had a beautiful personality and smile, and was so helpful. She must have heard in conversation that we were celebrating my birthday today and she brought out a little cake with a single candle â so thoughtful. Finished the night with a complimentary grappa from Sandro â simply extraordinary. It was more than an a dinner, it was an experience

In the centre of Montreux, an ode to Italy. A cosmopolitan Trattoria Brasserie serving Italian specialties and seafood, right in the centre of Montreux overlooking the lake. Relaxed atmosphere and unique décor, with tasty traditional cuisine according to
Walked down from hotel and got a seat right away even though it was very crowded. Ordered Vitello Tonnato, but they were out, so tried the Vitello Tartare which was delicious. I then had the spaghetti tricolore with addition of pancetta and this was perfectly prepared. Nice wine list - friendly and attentive service

As a family, we decided to go for a pizza outing, when this restaurant popped up on our TripAdvisor radar.Luckily enough, they had space and could fit us in at a nice table within the restaurant. The food was tasty, the service was fine, the ambiance of the restaurant was to our liking (seemed like recently opened/renovated). So honestly, it was all good. Just not anything spectacular, you know?Being a bit picky, the only thing that bothered us is that one of our waitresses didn't speak English or German, which in such a touristic location was a bit strange.Nevertheless, for all those in the mood for pizza in the Montreaux area, go for it :)

An other restaurant where we ate twice! The first time we ordered steak frite (deemed the best steak, anywhere, in a long time), and sole - perfectly cooked and flavorful. Both came with the very best fries - crisp, not greasy. Second time we went Italian, with a ravioli special and penne with zucchini and eggplant. Both came with a rose (pink) sauce, not too rich. Homemade tiramisu both times! First evening a customer at the next table offered to help with English translation - introduced himself as a neighborhood volunteer firefighter. The firehouse was around the corner on our walk back to our hotel. Locals come in for beer and wine, and to watch sports on TV. Very good service.

Gastronomical Restaurant with seasonal and mediteranean cuisine, next to the natural park "Les Grangettes" in the middle of Noville, little village close to Montreux and Villeneuve. Beautiful winter garden. Specailites: Bouillabaisse in summer, fresh fish
Friends who live nearby recommended this restaurant when I asked about places serving chasse (wild game which is in season now). We had lunch there last week.First thing that struck me was hearing the chef telling the waitresses what was and was not available. Clearly he only serves fresh meats etc - nothing frozen and pre-done. Vry nice sign. Second was the warm welcome we had and the nice restaurant - very sunny with a pretty terrace and garden. It wasn't warm enough to eat outside when we were there though. We ordered the Selle de Chevreuil (Saddle of venison) menu at 85frs per person. 4 delicious courses and the venison was really tasty and perfectly cooked. All the traditional garnishes were on the plate and there was a small bowl of home made spätzli. The venison sauce was superb. A great suprise was the entrée - Caparccio of deer with a roquette pesto. It melted in the mouth and was absolutely wonderful. I have not had that before! All in all it as a really good lunch and we are looking forward to going back there. In summer they make a Bouillabaisse which is apparently outstanding according to our friends and the filets de perche are good. We shall have to try those too!
